Lindisfarne Glen is a rare cabin retreat tucked into the woods in West Franklin. Set on expansive, secluded grounds, this historic property offers the feeling of being completely removed from everyday life, while still allowing easy access to Franklin and Nashville when you want it.

Lindisfarne Glen is not your average Airbnb. It’s a character-filled cabin with decades of history, designed for guests who want peace, privacy, and space to slow down. It is especially well suited for couples, close friends, families, and creatives looking for a quiet reset rather than nightlife or crowds.

The home offers approximately 2,700 square feet of interior space, with multiple areas to spread out, read, write, rest, or simply enjoy being surrounded by nature. Because the cabin sits in a forest setting, occasional signs of nature such as insects or spider webs may be present and are considered part of the Tennessee experience :)

The cabin includes three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, comfortable living space, a detached writer’s or children’s cabin, and a wide wrap-around porch with rocking chairs. All bedrooms require stairs to access.

The first main bedroom is located on the lower level and features a king bed and en suite bathroom. Large windows overlook the gardens and bring in abundant natural light. The bathroom includes a soaking tub positioned near swinging windows that open toward the greenery, creating a quiet, spa-like atmosphere. A lounge sofa in the bedroom adds an additional place to relax.

The second main bedroom, also on the lower level, includes a queen bed, en suite bathroom, garden views, a small seating area, and a storage closet. This room offers privacy and comfort comparable to the primary suite, making it ideal for two couples traveling together.

The top-level loft bedroom is an open, airy space with vaulted ceilings and a full-size pullout sofa bed with a new mattress, topper, and bedding. A lounge chair, smart TV, and DVD player make this a relaxed and flexible sleeping or hangout space, particularly popular with children.

There is a half bathroom on the main level, as well as two full en suite bathrooms in the lower-level bedrooms. The primary bedroom’s bathroom features a deep soaking tub with windows that open to the gardens.

The living area features vaulted ceilings, ample seating, and rustic architectural details. It is designed for conversation, reading, quiet evenings, and unhurried time together. The fireplace is decorative and not functional.

The kitchen is fully stocked with a full-size refrigerator, stove, cookware, flatware, dishwasher, and generous counter space. A Keurig coffee maker is provided. The dining area next to the kitchen includes a rustic table that seats six, along with three counter-height stools.

Outdoor living is a major part of the Lindisfarne Glen experience. The wrap-around porch and expansive multi-level deck provide multiple places to sit, dine, and enjoy the surrounding forest. A brand-new multi-level deck was added in 2024 and offers beautiful wooded views and ample lounge seating.

The detached writer’s cabin is approximately 8 by 9 feet and includes a small porch, lounge cushions, twinkle lights, and a small loft accessed by ladder. Cushions can be arranged to create a daytime lounge or resting space. While not recommended for overnight sleeping, it is ideal for reading, journaling, creative work, or giving children a space of their own (note: not to be used for sleeping).

Behind the cabin, the back garden invites quiet walks, and a gently flowing creek can be found roughly 100 yards beyond the property.

Starlink WiFi is available and is the best option for the area, though occasional lag may occur. Cell service is generally reliable but also may come with lag. May vary by carrier. A full-size washer and dryer are available for guest use. A Ring camera is installed at the entryway for security purposes.

You’ll have the entire property to enjoy in privacy, including all outdoor spaces and detached 8x9 writer's/kid's cabin.

The wood burning fireplace in the main living area isn’t functional.

The Wifi isn’t the fastest, but it’s the highest speed possible for the area.
