Cozy Artist's House, Casa d'Artista, Nardò

Welcome to my home! I renovated my home with myself, the artist, in mind! I filled my walls with art and lovely furnishing. I offer it to guests to share the beauty of Nardò and the Salento region of Puglia. The space Casa d'Artista is on a quiet street of the historic center of Nardò. My entire home is at your disposal. Enter my home by push button code which will be provided upon booking. Great Wifi and a SONOS speaker and TV. 7 minute walk to historic Piazza Salandra with lots of local life. Casa d'Artista is ideal for a 2 couples. There is a nice size dining room, with original entry/exit from the street (and courtyard), living room with fireplace with a high end Italian couch, coffee table, work table and bookshelves. The primary bedroom has an en suite bathroom, large armadio with washer, dryer. Guest suite if off the courtyard, in a spacious barrel vault room with lovely en-suite bathroom with shower. All rooms have AC units which give some heat as well. Remote control skylights in main house allows light and air to flow in. Radiator heat, new electric, heating and plumbing system. The well equipped kitchen has custom cabinets, a fireplace, 5 burner gas cooktop, Miele frig with wine storage rack, a big stainless steel sink (note: no dishwasher). Silverware, plates, glasses, spices and staples like sugar, flour and olive oil and lots of pots and pans all provided. From the kitchen you ascend to the upper floor by the original staircase. The small upstairs room has a "divano letto" sofa bed (with access to the terrace) and a small bathroom. The large terrace is surrounded by wonderful old buildings, there is cushioned seating along the edge, chaise lounges, low tables, plants, folding chairs, outdoor shower, sink and counter for outdoor eating and dining table. Modern hidden mood lighting enhance your evenings. There is a security system with entry buzzer and video camera. The courtyard is totally private and can be accessed by 3 doors on the inside and the double door gate from the street. It is calm, quiet and cool. There are no cars of non residents inside Nardò center so things are quiet. Guest access by code. Other things to note. Is it essential that you recycling. All items must be cleaned and placed in the bins they city has provided and YOU must put out the properly recycled trash! there is nightly pick up except on Sunday. If you do not intend to recycle properly following the rules please do not book my home please. Easy ground floor living, great for people with mobility issues.
