I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience after checkout. Day later, I was contacted via WhatsApp by a reservations coordinator claiming I owed additional money for a room upgrade that was never clearly communicated or properly settled during my stay.
For a globally recognized brand like Holiday Inn / IHG, I expected professional billing practices and transparent communication. Instead, I received an informal message stating they were “stressed and worried” about the payment — which is not the level of professionalism guests should experience.
If there were outstanding charges, they should have been addressed at checkout with a proper, itemized invoice — not pursued afterward through messaging apps. This created unnecessary concern about the legitimacy of the request and reflects poorly on the hotel’s operational standards.
Travelers should carefully review their folio before leaving and insist on a final receipt to avoid similar situations.
While the location is convenient, the post-stay billing process significantly impacted my overall impression. I hope management improves their communication and accounting procedures so future guests do not experience the same issue.
