quite far away from Alice Springs but I don't remember the name of this place. The girls driving the van in our road trip ran out of fuel. So had to use the fuel reserves in jerry cans from another car in our group. http://wp.me/p8dzfr-rL
Between Coober Pedy and Alice springs you can find salt lakes. A nice stop to stretch your legs.
