Amazing White River Retreat

C'est une propriété unique située sur les rives de la magnifique rivière White. Cette maison inspirée par Frank Lloyd Wright comprend quatre chambres, trois salles de bain, une salle de billard et sa propre salle de cinéma! Avec le sol au plafond en verre au niveau principal, vous avez une vue imprenable sur le fleuve depuis chaque chambre! La rampe de mise à l'eau est juste en bas de la rue ou vous pouvez pêcher dans la cour arrière! Le pont enveloppant est un endroit merveilleux pour s'asseoir et profiter de la vue imprenable! Un endroit idéal pour profiter d'un grand groupe ou garder cet endroit étonnant pour vous!

I have to tell you that this house is totally amazing. We had 10 guys here for our annual fishing trip and everyone voted to come back next year. We prepared all the meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We played pool and used the theater room and had a blast. Poker at night on the large table off the kitchen and the sleeping arrangements were first class. This house does not disappoint!

Great Location Directly on the White River

This house looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright design and has ample room for many guests. There are two master suites, and two other bedrooms. We spent a lot of time in the Movie Theater and playing pool! The beds were super comfy with really soft sheets. The house is stocked so well with towels, paper towels, spices, aluminum foil, parchment paper, charcoal lighters, coffee, sugar, etc! Janet, the property manager, is AMAZING and went out of her way to help us locate a reputable fishing guide. We truly enjoyed our 4 days at this house and the only issues were the following:The bedroom directly to the left, when you enter the house, is much hotter than any of the other rooms and does not cool down at night, even with the AC set to 67 degrees. There is a portable tower fan in that room to help circulate the air. The hot water heater may need to be replaced, because the water has a very strong sulfur smell and "iron" taste. Make sure you bring bottled water. This is also true of the showers and bath water. It really smells up the bathrooms. :)The dishwasher would not come on or display any power, but we discovered a power strip under the sink that had been turned off. The urinal in the master bedroom to the right leaks when flushed. We woke up the middle of the night stepping in water on the floor.Those are easy fixes and we would definitely come back to this property if ever in the area again!!!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLACE IVE EVER STAYED

Absolutely stunning. From Janet the host, to the location, to the house itself. Breathtaking views. All modern amenities, huge showers, hot water, ice cold ac, endless opportunities for fun and things to do. We rent places and go on trips about 4-6 times a year and this VRBO has taken the cake. If you’re even remotely considering staying, pull the trigger. In almost all situations I am underwhelmed when I get to the place in person. This was the opposite. So much more than we would’ve ever expected. 10 stars!

Great place to stay on the river

We enjoyed walking down to the White River to fish and swim. The media room and pool table kept us entertained in the evening. I highly recommend a visit to this house.

Good Times

Good remodel of a nicely designed house. Great views. Great location. Quiet. Nice media room (so many remotes!). Loved the old school arcade game. Kitchen worked great. The negatives aren't many - the house heats and cools unevenly upstairs. We used open doors with screens to compensate. The new "dock" isn't really a dock. It's an observation deck. And for the fishermen - it's a wade in situation with shallow fast moving water off the pebble bank. The deep seam is on the other side. Difficult to bait fish. Easy fly fishing. But hey, it's the White River. We caught fish!

Church Mens Retreat

We go float white river every year for a mens retreat at my church in texas and this was the nicest cabin we have stayed in this far. Management is great and communication was awesome. We will be back!

WOW!!

The only word to describe this property is WOW! I really have no idea what else you could want from a vacation property. Amazing river views on one side, mountain views on the other, both from the same seat! The owner was very easy to deal with, and very prompt with all communication. The theater room and game room are great. The design both inside and out is incredible. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. And did I mention the views? As others have mentioned, the pictures are fantastic, but absolutely do not do this place justice. Our group of 8 very experienced travelers with age ranges from 10 to 50 stayed here for a week and all agreed it was one of our best vacations. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this property immediately. Seriously, what are you waiting for?

Unique & Amazing Home & Location

We were lucky to be able to book this amazing property! So unique with the design and all of the extras. The house was very well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, linens, blankets, coffee, and toiletries. The glass front on this property was incredible. Made us feel as though we were out on the river even from the bedrooms. Furniture was so comfortable and stylish. We had 4 couples and had more than enough room. We called the Hogs during the game in the theatre room which spoiled us watching on the big screen!! Amazing experience all around! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!!

Incredible views

This property was directly on The White River with gorgeous views through the floor to ceiling windows and very well stocked with any kitchen items we might need. It was clean and well appointed. There was plenty of room for our six-member multigenerational family to spread out in. Our only suggestion would be to install a handrail along the stairs going down to the lowest level as we had one family member with mobility issues. In fact, all of us would have felt more comfortable with a railing to hold on to.

Everything you hope it is!

Even though the photos show a beautiful, modern home on the river, they don't do this property justice. It is everything you expect it to be. We enjoyed a wonderful family event and had plenty of room for everybody. It is clean, immaculately kept, and of course that view. We highly recommend you book your next stay here.

Overall a good property but a few issues that should be addressed.

The house was nice and very well equipped. I have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties. This was the best equipped. Couple of shortcomings though. Given the amount of glass walls and the almost complete lack of drapery it is impossible to maintain an even temperature throughout the house. One room will be freezing, one room will be 85 degrees due to the sunlight and no way to block it. This also leads to very limited privacy. Bedrooms need drapery to provide both privacy, sound deadening, and to help with temperature control. Media room had some issues. There was a glitch in the HDMI cable that needs to be addressed. Also the projection system did not provide a very good picture. At this price point I would expect more. The seating in there appeared dated. Not sure if it was due to a deliberate design or just old but the theatre chairs were worn and frayed. The comments are intended as constructive critcism. The property could easily be a five by five but I can't leave a review without pointing out what appear to be obvious shortcomings that could be addressed.
