From the wall of windows to the expansive wraparound deck, breathtaking long-range mountain views surround nearly every corner of the cabin. On some mornings, clouds drift through the valley below, creating the unforgettable experience that inspired the name Cloud 9.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, family vacation, or peaceful retreat with friends, Cloud 9 offers the perfect blend of cozy mountain charm, comfort, and connection.
After a day exploring nearby hiking trails, wineries, mountain towns, and scenic overlooks, guests can return to Cloud 9 to soak in the luxury hot tub beneath the evening sky, gather around the fire table on the deck, or simply relax while taking in the stillness of the mountains.
While the cabin feels secluded and far removed from the pace of everyday life, it is still conveniently located near Watauga Lake, Boone, Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many of the most popular attractions.

• The kitchen is fully equipped with an extensive variety of cooking supplies and utensils for your stay. Cloud 9 has labeled cabinets and drawers throughout the kitchen for easy navigation. A dishwasher, crock pot, Keurig and drip coffee makers, as well as coffee pods, tea, and spices make meals easy and relaxed.

• The kitchen island offers high top seating for four, and the nearby dining area also provides seating to enjoy a conversation and the stunning view.

• The living room includes a wall of windows showcasing the gorgeous long range views of the mountains and valley below. A large flat-screen TV, stone fireplace, and leather seating creates a space ideal for movie nights or quiet evening by the fire. Movies, books, puzzles, cornhole, and board games for all ages are provided for quality family time and fun.

• The wraparound deck allows guests to take in the expansive mountain views surrounding the cabin. A gas grill, plenty of seating, and an outdoor dining table make for relaxing mornings and cozy nights. The luxury hot tub, gas fire table, and Bluetooth outdoor speakers create the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy stargazing.
🛏️ SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS AND BATHROOMS
• Primary king bedroom: The primary king bedroom includes a flat screen TV, closet, armoire, and a cozy reading nook. Additionally, this king bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, with a shower/tub combination, and a hair dryer.
• 2nd king bedroom: The 2nd king bedroom includes a flat screen TV, closet, dresser, and a cozy reading nook. This king bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer.
• Loft: The custom wooden stairs lead to an open loft where you`ll find three twin beds, a foosball table, a flat screen TV, gaming chairs, and an Xbox with games - a perfect spot for kids and teens.

• For your entertainment, there are 4 Smart TVs throughout the home with streaming services, such as Hulu TV, HBO Max, Disney+, and ESPN+, as well as the ability to access your own favorite apps.
• This home is also equipped with many modern conveniences to enhance your stay such as high speed internet, Bluetooth outdoor speakers, Echo Dots, USB ports, and phone charging stations located throughout the home.

• A washer and dryer are conveniently located just off the kitchen for guest use. Laundry detergent, an iron, and ironing board are provided to keep laundry simple and convenient.

Cloud 9 is pet-friendly, allowing up to 2 dogs with a reservation.
• The pet fee is $90, per dog, per stay
• No Pit Bulls allowed
• Dogs must be on leash when outside the home in the driveway, for bathroom breaks, and/or walks.
• Only dogs allowed. No other pets are permitted.
• The gate on the deck is also useful for allowing smaller dogs to enjoy the outdoor space with you, without the risk of them wandering off to explore on their own.
💡 WHOLE HOUSE GENERATOR
For your comfort and peace of mind, Cloud 9 is equipped with a backup whole-house generator, ensuring electricity regardless of the weather.
🚘 PARKING
The paved driveway can accommodate up to 3 cars.
⏰ EARLY CHECK-IN AND LATE CHECKOUT OPTIONS
• Standard check-in time is 4PM.
• Standard checkout time is 10AM.
• Occasionally an early check-in of 1PM or a late checkout of 1PM is available.
• An early check-in or a late checkout is not guaranteed. This must be pre-approved by the host and will be confirmed by the host one day prior to arrival or departure.
• A fee of $65 plus tax applies. Payment will be coordinated with the host.
❄️ WINTER
In the winter, we recommend you be prepared for winter weather and plan accordingly.
• We cannot provide refunds or assistance for accessing the property.
• Traveling in a 4WD vehicle is recommended if snow is expected. During more extreme snow and ice conditions, tire chains may also be required on the rural mountain roads.
• Keep in mind, higher elevations can experience snow a little earlier and/or a later than the typical winter season.
