We spent a full week at Headwaters with our family of five plus our dogs. We had teen to grandparents and were all very comfortable. We cooked in every night and found the kitchen well stocked! Loved the fenced, large yard as well as large grassy front yard that felt very secluded and private. We were able to enjoy the hot tub even with the heatwave that we arrived in the beginning of our trip. The owner was very responsive to trouble with an AC unit and got it fixed ASAP and even set us up with a portable unit while we waited for the repairs to be done. We were very pleased with the excellent communication throughout the trip! We will return!
We really enjoyed our time here. The house is beautiful and spacious, and I really liked the layout. There were 10 of us, and we were comfortable and had an excellent time. We will definitely be staying here again.
This house was perfect for our stay. Large charming, cabin style house with plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms, and a very large, beautiful kitchen and dining area. Itâs just on the edge of town, far enough out so you feel you are in nature, but close enough to town to walk if you want to. Weâll definitely come back.!
The home was big enough for 4 women to each have a BR but most of the beds were upstairs where there was only one bathroom. Downstairs was one BR and two bathrooms. We were hoping to enjoy sitting on the two outside patios/porches but furniture on back porch was non existent and front porch was old and uncomfortable. The house itself needs much TLC. The issue we had with the leaking refrigerator was very quickly responded to by the contact provided.
The house is spacious, with four decks and lovely outdoor space. There is neighbors, you see as you pull in, but once at the property you feel miles away and secluded. I loved drinking my coffee watching the birds and rabbits in the meadow, and natural spring.
While the linens and beds could use updating, the magical atmosphere helped me forget about all that.
We stayed 5 nights in July 2024. We had 2 family groups plus grandma !
Everyone found a bed and room and no one was cramped. The house is centrally located. Itâs very close to town and easy drive to lake SiskiyouâŠ
There is a big table for eating together and playing games after diner. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and Netflix during their spare time, adults read books, did 1000 piece puzzle, drew pictures ..generally relaxedâŠ
It was Fun for all and we voted to return next year !!
The house has an old time cabin feeling with log walls and wooden cabinets. It is a large property located very near to downtown, amid several rows of low-rise condo developments and a hospital. It is very near Highway 5; you can see and hear the highway from the back deck and hot tub. 3 bedrooms upstairs with one hall bath and a bedroom with en suite bath downstairs as well as a 3rd bath next to the living room. 2 car garage. Hot tub.
Stayed at this excellent home for the second year in a row, for a family ski vacation at Mt. Shasta. The house is beautiful, with a traditional wood cabin feel, and very well set up for a large family group. Would definitely recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our family visit at this property. We had a small wedding ceremony and the grounds and home were perfect for our family. We would definitely stay there again. The owner was very responsive when we had a small issue, and it was promptly resolved.
My family loved the feel of being in the woods but with the convenience of town close. Wildlife everywhere. Deer. A big buck. A friendly kitty and a huge raven. Hot tub was nice. Patios everywhere is also nice. People can spread out and not feel crowded at all. Lots of bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to maybe more trips to this beautiful area.
The property was clean, spacious, fine kitchen, close to town and quite a lovely setting. However, there were four women (50+) staying at the house and there was hardly any water pressure in the morning and none in the evening. They said they had lathered up their hair a couple times only to be stuck without water for rinsing. Also, no water when using washing machine. They said they contacted owner(s) but no one responded. Otherwise, they really liked the place. Note: I made the reservation and got link to comment; however, I was not able to go due to illness. Am reporting their comments.
We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday đand three of our grandkids'
birthdaysđđ. We shared fabulous meals, stories and memories for 5 days. Cousins played, laughed and enjoyed special time togetherâ€ïž Our girls got to catch up with their busy lives raising our precious grandkidsđ€
The layout of the house and property were perfect for our group. We loved the swing on the front porch enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of the area. We hope to come back again.
The place is nice and roomy. Love that they allow pets. There were a couple of clogged drains and shower in the master downstairs has a poopy Oder. Other than that they did give me a refund for one of the nights I requested, against their policy. Convenient and quick drive to swimming. I would recommend as a decent place to rent.
Great home for large group. Had wonderful time with family, meeting in Shasta from Idaho and Sacramento Vly. House was well equipped, air conditioning and appliances worked well. Beds were very comfortable. Nice yard space for outdoor activities.
Had a wonderful stay here, property was beautiful and so was the home. Only downfall is itâs so close to the road and so very noisy at night. Other than that I would highly recommend!
Had a wonderful ski trip with kids and grandkids. This beautiful and rustic house is spacious and has all the amenities, including hot tub, foosball table in the garage, two dining tables, large fenced backyard, pond, fireplace, etc. When we were snowed in on our last day, the owner was very quick to respond and gave us a discounted rate for an extra night. Would definitely stay here again!
