Mountain Cabin, Lake Tillery, Uwharrie National Forest

This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath cabin is the perfect getaway. It sits on a large wooded lot within the gated Woodrun Community on Lake Tillery. This home offers lots of privacy with the benefit of community amenities. You will have access to the neighborhood pool that overlooks the lake, tennis courts, basketball court, and walking trails. The community has a private boat ramp that will give you full access to Lake Tillery. The HOA charges a one-time $25 fee per boat for visitors to use the boat ramp and is payable to the guard house upon entry. There are wonderful hiking and mountain biking trails minutes away. There are also numerous kayaking locations within 15 miles of the cabin. The back of the cabin contains a sun porch that looks over the large wooded lot and down to a small stream. The sun porch is perfect for sitting with your morning coffee or reading your favorite book. The spacious outside deck includes a screened in gazebo for entertaining or dinning. This is a beautiful cabin that will give you access to the lake and all the natural beauty of the Uwharrie National Forest.

Great Time

Just as advertised

We stayed here for 2 weeks for personal and business. All in all, we were so happy with the cabin, none of us wanted to leave. The pool was almost a mile away (and yes it us right by the water), so not really walkable but the kids didn’t care. The pool was never really super busy except on/around 7/4. We did have a couple of small hiccups (microwave stopped working towards the end and the grill was hard to light). Be careful entering and leaving if u have a low profile vehicle. Be prepared for natures visitors (we saw many deer during our visit, including a mother and 2 babies in the front yard). Unfortunately it was too hot and humid outside to enjoy the deck, fire pit or the gazebo. John (aka Darrel) was absolutely wonderful and so accommodating letting us check in early and enjoy a late check out so the kids could enjoy the pool once more before we left. We are all so spoiled and used to the comforts of our own homes, I would recommend getting settled, taking an inventory of what is needed before going to the store. We would absolutely stay here again.

property rented in the dog days of summer end of July, 1st week in August. cabin was nice, everything you need is there, nebiborhood was quiet, if you are looking for some action head down to the pool, check the activity schedule too. nice place to visit, don't hesitate with this one, owner communicates well.

Adorable cabin in beautiful Uwharrie National Forest neighborhood

Property owners very accommodating and flexible with dates and Check-in. Gated, quiet community with beautiful lake and forest back drop. Home had special features like glassed in back porch with wonderful forest view, screened gazebo for night gatherings, extra parking for multiple cars. Would stay again and recommend.

End of summer escape

We had my sometime continuous 73 year old parents, an indifferent teenage boy, a 3 year old who just wants to go swimming, my husband who just wanted to be fishing and I just wanted a quiet cup of tea in the morning and to watch the birds. We all had an amazing time and are looking forward to renting it again!

Great stay!!

We had a great stay and really enjoyed all the amenities the property and neighborhood has to offer!! We came with our friends and our kids we both brought side by sides and boats for the visit, the house is in a great location close to boat docks, pool, tennis courts, trash dump, basics everything we needed to access, also guards at gate were really nice and helpful!! Host was prompt to respond to questions as well!!

Great stay - perfect loaction

This cabin is well cared for and appointed. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well appointed. The location is great and Woodrun offers a lot of amenties. The pool was really nice and has a convenient snack bar. We didnt boat, but there is a ramp and there are slips available. Lake Tillery has several places that rent boats as well. Basketball courts were a plus for the kids. I would recommend this property strongly for someone visitng the local area and looking for a nice vacation.

Quaint and beautiful log cabin.

We rented this home to attend a family reunion nearby. The home was clean and the rooms were spacious. The shower and bathrooms were well appointed including all bedding and linens. Communication with the owner was exceptional. He was prompt to respond and the app let us know when he responded. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a clean, spacious home that includes a boat ramp access to Lake Tillery, pool and tennis courts very close to the property.
