« This house is in a very peaceful area. House was clean and comfortable. Loved the sunroom. Due to high water levels it was difficult to use the dock. Lost power, but it was restored quickly. Kitchen is nice and well-stocked. Pans are in rough shape. You definitely need to bring food to cook as there is no place close to eat out or get groceries. We enjoyed Nolin Lake State Park and Mammoth Cave State Park. Overall a nice stay. »

« We chose to stay at this property compared to getting a hotel since we had other family going with us on our vacation. The home was clean upon arrival. There are some quirks, such as the hot and cold is backwards on most of the sinks and an outlet in the kitchen is sticking out from the wall. The amenities provided met all of our needs. « The house was big and perfect for our two families! The lake was amazing for both swimming and fishing and not very busy, especially during the week. We all had a great stay and plan to come back next year. The only thing I would change is a ladder from the dock to the lake to accommodate swimming and getting in and out easier. « The Redbird Hideaway is a beautiful place to unwind with family. We drank out coffee each morning on the covered porch listening to birds. It was cozy without being crowded and close enough to mammoth cave and lake nolin for us to get some hiking and fishing in during our stay. Highly recommend. »

« Cute little house with great things for kids inside. We didn’t stay long and we were there for Mammoth Cave and loved staying at the house. It is in the middle of nowhere so eating out is very limited and grocery stores are far from the location. The host was great about informing us about all of this beforehand so we could prepare and was great about giving us ideas of things to do in the area. « The place is beautiful. Peaceful and quiet. Wonderful place for relaxing, sitting around a fire. But access to the water was difficult unless you have a boat and trailer. My husband wanted to fish but access to the water is down a tree and rock covered hill. Couldn't case due to trees amd branches. The dock that is available to guess says no fishing so Couldn't fish. « Plenty of room, everything was super clean. 1.3 miles from the race track. We did reach out to the property owner and they never responded, but it wasn’t important so no big deal. Can’t think of a single negative. »

« It was such a wonderful, relaxing trip. The downstairs master bed was so comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and welcoming. It stormed a lot, so the swing was a nice feature and the hot tub was my daughter’s favorite spot. Wonderful stay. The only issue we had was the ferry was closed due to flooding, so we had to drive all the way around which took 45 mins vs. 20. Thank you for having us. »
