Welcome to Mountain Jam, a beautiful new build with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge and South Mountains. Watch the sunrise with your coffee on the large rear deck, and end the day at the new backyard patio fire pit, perfectly positioned for spectacular sunset views. Tucked away enough to feel like a private mountain retreat, yet only minutes to I-40 and downtown Morganton, you get the best of both worlds.

In town for a wedding or event? We`re a favorite home base for guests attending celebrations at nearby venues, with room for 6 adults to get ready, unwind, and recap the night around the fire.

Perfectly positioned between Charlotte and Asheville, Mountain Jam also makes an ideal launch pad for exploring: hiking, biking, rock climbing, river kayaking, fishing, and more. Check out our guides or ask us for recommendations.

Our Layout:
Main level: Large open kitchen, dining, and living room with beautiful views and a wood burning fireplace. Split bedroom design with the master and ensuite on one end, and a second bedroom and bath on the other. The rear deck spans the entire main level and is accessible from the living room and both bedrooms.

Upper level: Open loft with wonderful natural light and plenty of floor space for yoga, meditation, an art project, or strumming a guitar. Two rooms flank the loft: a game room on one side and an additional bedroom space on the other.

Outdoor spaces: Full-length rear deck with hot tub and gas grill, plus the new backyard patio fire pit area with sunset views.

Amenities: 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 comfortably, wood burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with cookware and dinnerware for 6, linens and towels provided.

Pet Policy Update: Effective October 10, 2026, this home is no longer pet friendly, and pets are not permitted for new reservations. Reservations booked before October 10, 2026 that included an approved pet will be honored under our previous policy: one dog maximum, pet fee paid in advance, and pet crated whenever left alone in the home. We ask that you clean up after your pet and keep pets off the beds and furniture. Assistance animals are welcome in accordance with Airbnb`s assistance animal policy.

This home is located up a gravel road. Most of the way is paved but the last turn will require the guest to travel a gravel road (Petche Gap Rd). GPS will not bring you to the house.
Off I-40, go south on Hwy 18, turn left on Zero Mull Rd, left on Laurel Heights Dr. stay straight up the hill near the end, turn right on Petche Gap Rd (gravel).
Bear right on Petche when you see the concrete building, keep going past the next home and you will come to a concrete driveway. This is the driveway to your destination.
Pet Rules: Effective October 10, 2026, pets are no longer permitted for new reservations. Reservations booked before October 10, 2026 that included an approved pet will be honored under the following rules:
•One dog only, and it must be house-trained.
•Guests must clean up after dogs outdoors, including common areas, walkways, paths, and the yard. Place doggy bags inside a trash bag before discarding. No loose doggy bags in trash cans, please.
•Dogs must be crated whenever left inside the house alone or at the property. •Closing a dog in a bedroom or another room does not count as crating.
•Guests should use pet covers to protect furniture and beds.
Any damage caused by a pet will be charged to the guest, separate from the nonrefundable pet fee.

*Unauthorized Pets: Pets that weren`t approved and added to the reservation are not permitted. Unauthorized pets may result in cancellation of the reservation, an unauthorized pet fee of $200, and charges for any additional cleaning or damage.

The booking party MUST be present during the entire stay.

No smoking.

No parties, large gatherings, or events.

No loud disturbances, and no fireworks.

Guest should only park on paved areas.

Do not disconnect the internet at any point during the stay.

Exterior monitoring device on property (ring camera by front door).

Complete records are required of each stay so please forward any requested information for the responsible booking party.
