Black Hawk Haus rises amongst the trees: a striking, all-black cabin that’s bold, tranquil, and purposefully designed to bring the outdoors in. Inspired by memories of taking our children to Blue Ridge, we knew this cabin was something special the moment we laid our eyes on it. And here, beneath the pines, we built Black Hawk Haus: a luxurious yet peaceful retreat that sparks connection with nature, with each other, and with yourself.

Step onto the front deck and the rest of the world instantly fades. A cozy picnic table invites slow breakfasts, journaling, or card games at sunset. The propane fire pit glows warmly as you sip wine wrapped under a blanket, bird songs echoing from the trees, and if you’re lucky, you’ll spot deer grazing in the yard. Follow the stone path, and you’ll discover a mountainside hot tub inviting you to dip into a spa-like soak beneath the pines. As you watch the steam curl into the mountain air, gather around the fire pit where stories stretch long into the night under a starry sky. Between it all: fall asleep in a hammock strung between the trees or take a deep breath on a yoga mat at sunrise. This is a true sanctuary where luxury means less doing and more connecting.

With Smart TVs in every room (including the outdoor deck), board games, books, and cozy seating, you`ll find peace comes naturally — without distraction.

Each of the two king bedrooms are thoughtfully styled and deeply relaxing. Every suite includes:

Pets:
We do not allow pets.

Nature and Wildlife:
Wooded mountain land is home to many creatures, including bears, bees, ants, spiders, snakes, and non-lethal scorpions (similar to spiders). While our cabin is regularly treated by professionals to keep them out, some may wander indoors. Please help by keeping the place clean and the doors closed.

Power Outages:
Power outages are not uncommon in the mountains and are usually resolved within a day, typically only a few hours. Please note our well water system requires power, so during outages, water will not run.

Supplies and Firewood:
We do not provide wood or fire starters for the outdoor fire pit, so please bring what you need. The home comes with starter quantities of almost everything else you need. If you run out or need something we don`t have, Walmart, Ingles, and Dollar General are just a few minutes away.

Assistance:
Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. Providing a five-star experience for you is our top priority.
-No smoking.
-Trash: Do not throw loose trash in the garbage cans. All loose trash will be a fee of $100 to guest.
-Robes: Cozy up in our provided robes, but please do not take with you when you leave.
-Grill: Please turn off immediately after use.
-Cleanliness: Please treat this like your own home! We ask that all dishes be loaded into the dishwasher and trash bagged and taken out upon check-out.
-Checkout time: Guests must check out at 10 am so we can prepare for the next guests. Late fees will be charged past 10:30.
-Locking up: Please lock the house whenever you leave by using the door code sent to you in your reservation.
-Outdoor Safety: This is a cabin in the mountains. As you explore, please be careful walking and be aware of wildlife such as bear and deer.
