We are a family of 5 and have been traveling to Montauk over the last few years and the trip wouldn't be as enjoyable if we didn't stay here. There are various reasons this house is so warm, comforting, and inviting. The house is an experience to be had by all five senses. As soon as you pull onto the street the house greets you with a hint of juniper in the air. Pull into he driveway and the sand colored pebbles on the ground you remind you immediately where you are as I automatically shift into vacation mode. The house itself is a spacious and has a country feel to it. Coming from the everyday hustle and bustle this is a quiet , gentle place to unwind.
I am personally thankful that although we came to be near the water, having 3 little ones, I am thrilled that there is no pool. The family has tons of room to play, a hammock to swing on, for the older children a basketball hoop down the road, tons of board games downstairs and the beach pass that allows you the peace of mind to travel from beach to beach freely.
We often invite friends or family to stay and for these occasions there is a separate niche with a refrigerator as well as a full bath. Let it be known that the house itself can easily accommodate us all with having to bump into one another and push and pull to make room. There is an extremely large dinner table that seats an easy 12 along with all the food. The flow to the house is an absolutely perfect match for respectable folks who can appreciate simple, quiet time in a pristine setting.
As always in life, remember to bring what you need, pay attention to one another, and the rest will take care of itself...
PS: The a/c has NEVER stunk.
