Alba, for instance, well-known for its truffle fair in October, is a small beautiful city where a âdonkey palioâ also takes place every year.
Bra, a small village known for its biennial cheese fair, is closely located to a former royal palace (the Castle of Pollenzo).
Cherasco, a village from the 1200s, is a destination of both cultural trips and food visits, as visitors may enjoy some of the most delicious Italian lumache. Furthermore, Asti is the center of the Monferrato region, home to the most ancient Italian palio and still attracts visitors for a variety of cultural and food activities.
Going back to the Langa region, Monforte is home to a medieval borgo and is surrounded by the well-known Barolo vineyards. In the background, one can admire the Italian Alps with the beautiful Monviso, get lost around the hills hiking small paths leading to historical churches, go horse-riding or join a tartufaio and their weâknown âtruffle dogsâ looking for tartufi
