« I would have LIKED to stay at the Royal. I'd made a booking but ran late getting there. No text message. No email. And no keys or anything in the late arrivals box when I got there. You can imagine how great that felt arriving in a dark carpark, with everything closed, and nowhere to stay. I was lucky to not end up sleeping in the back of my car, but had to suck up paying for a room at another hotel (also closed by the time I got there, but at least there was a bell I could ring). « Room was neat and tidy, we were located in a quite area which was perfect, the addition of the Spa was awesome, rear entry to the room made bring bags in so much easier. The atmosphere in the room created a very relaxing environment and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. »

« The staff was very friendly and helpful as we arrived late and had to check in after hours. Unfortunately, the room just wasn’t that good. Standing water in the shower and the doors leaked water badly, all over the bathroom floor. The mattress was awful. No support at all; caved in the middle. There was some kind of greasy crap on the top of the bedside table. Thankfully I had some sanitizer with me to clean it. The breakfast was simple but good and plenty to eat. »

« The positive first: A very nice and helpful lady is the keeper of the place. Unfortunately the negative is heavy. Everything is very old, the room is small, the mattress is terrible, the tiny bathroom is smelly and a major noisy road passes 100 meters away. The breakfast is not on site but in a coffee shop on the other side of the busy road. « Modern, clean and staff exceptional. Could have a microwave to heat food, but all up a lovely place to stay if you want quietness and tranquility. »

« While the front of the property is unassuming, the inside is spacious and the view is fantastic. Easy check in, and a nice grassy area behind to string up the hammock and read a book. Only suggestion would be to provide additional door stoppers for the beds as they roll very easily on the tile! Doggo and I had a great time, will certainly use this facility again. »
