We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location of the property in the resort is perfect. Having the golf cart made exploring so convenient and my husband is happy to not have all the sand in his truck. We rented bikes for the 3 teen boys and felt very comfortable with them out riding to friend’s property in the resort, pools, basketball court, and the Wharf. They aren’t able to do that at home. We only had 5 people in our group, plenty of space for more. Loved the floor plan. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of starter supplies. Publix is a golf cart ride away! Codes were available as stated. No issues that needed further communication. Thanks for allowing us to share your property.

Equipped with everything we needed including beach equipment. Loved the location. Our only complaint was the noise above us. 😩 Sounded like work was being done including a fridge getting moved out. We heard lots of stomping around until midnight and got woken up before 8am with more noise. The back patio area was so nice but the furniture wasn’t clean so we didn’t sit but you can go out and fish right on the lake.

The furniture was nice. It was also nice to have the screened in porch and a grill. There were a few cons. We couldn't get the ice maker to work, and no one ever came to see about the problem. The bunkbed room was very warm and we couldnt get the ceiling fan to work. One of the bunkbeds in the room was also broken, so we used the trundle instead. The sliding glass door came off of the track, and maintenance came to fix it for us. Overall, the property was a good fit for our group of 8 despite the few small problems.

A bit disappointed

The property was not as advertised. In the heading was a screened patio but the screen was torn down. I had to block the screen with furniture to keep my autistic granddaughter from getting out. Frogs and lizards were constantly on the patio which made it hard to enjoy. The twin bedframe was cracked and eventually broke. At first glance the property appeared clean but under the beds was visible trash. In the window seal was dirt and clothing items that were left from prior visit. Dog hair was every where. The AC was not blowing in one of the bedrooms. I called the property manager but no one came out.

Great Place to Stay in Sandestin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented for 8 nights during March 2023 and the place was fantastic, suited our needs well. All one floor layout, which worked very well. All bedrooms were big and lots of space for 6 guests. Golf Cart was in fantastic condition, almost new and is a must have if you are staying in Sandestin (our first time). Honestly, the lukewarm reviews were really based on environmental factors and should be overlooked. Only thing I would say is that the BBQ isnt something you want to use. It is time for a refurb or replacement of the burners. That said, I didnt have to bbq this week, so a silver lining. There is some work being done on the patio wall near stairs however it was all cleaned up and wasn't an issue. During our stay I didnt need to call the property company and everything was in the app and ready to go at check-in. They also provide starter kit for soaps etc and there are some staples available (salt/pepper/paper-towels/TP) to get you started. Will be staying here again next visit to Destin!

Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pros: The unit itself was wonderful as in the layout and space that accommodated a family of 7 perfectly. The location to Baytowne/Marina was amazing. Golf cart was a nice feature. Now as for the cons: parking was tight at times, the trash pickup for 7 units was right out our front door which was very gross (the smell was awful), the sliding door would not lock had a wooden pole to lay down in the track to lock, the dryer took forever to dry clothes, and then finally the bedrooms to the opposite side from the master bedroom was EXTREMELY hot every day. In our bedroom we had to run the ceiling fan on high plus the osculating fan on high to be able to sleep somewhat comfortable. Lastly, luckily my husband is a handyman since he had to unclog our shower drain so the water would drain. I did mention to Vacation Haven people that the bedroom was extremely hot and that my husband unclogged our drain during one of our calls when asking how our stay was going. Made mention to them that they may want Maintenace to unclog the other bathrooms for future guest. As in space and location this unit is perfect.

Because of several miscommunications, we ended up driving to the office which was closed. After a 5 min phone call we were routed to the property , which we did NOT have a code to and the service there was horrible. 15 mins later, we FINALLY get to get in the door, after being hollered at by the attendant at the gate. Now all of this transpired AFTER the 7 hr drive with 5 kids! We make it in the home after all of this, to the sliding glass door going out to the screened porch, and the door is stuck. I emailed right away, had to try and decipher the instructions for the Wi-Fi and all passwords. Now, when booking this on Expedia, this listing showed pictures and made it seem as if it was within walking distance to the Beach. It IS NOT!!! A home that sleeps 10, only offers a 4 person golf cart, and its at least a 10 min drive! Do NOT Book this , I could have booked a similar property On the BEACH , for the same price! I only booked it because it looked nicer and was walking distance of the Beach. This listing is the epitome of the Bait and Switch with the Heavily insinuating "Walking Distance " to the Beach. Also, 1 of the bunks was broken, "fixed" with duct tape. The washer and dryer are very outdated and it takes at least 2 hours for a small load of clothes to dry. I will say that I was very let down and would NEVER book this again.

Disappointed

There was construction on the sunroom. Which the sunroom was the main perk that made us choose this one. We were very disappointed in it. We were unable to sit and enjoy looking out and relaxing. Because of the construction there were no blinds on sliding glass door. So anyone who drove by could see us and our children. That made us feel very uncomfortable. The minute we walked in we all took our shoes off so we did not get the floors dirty. And between the door and the living room/kitchen walk all of our feet were black due to floors not being cleaned properly. One of the rooms light switch did not work on fan. So they were unable to have light in there. The ice maker in kitchen was not working. So we had to go to store and pay extra for bagged ice. The tv in the room with the no light had no batteries in the remote. The dryer took 2-3 cycles to dry clothes. All windows were filthy with cobwebs and were extremely fogged over. The jets on master bathtub did not work. Which was another perk that had us choose this listing. The garage door did not work by electric door opener. We had to hand lift it ourselves.The neighborhood was beautiful. The neighbors around us were quiet and respectful. But for the amount of money we paid. And the reasons we picked this property were unsatisfactory when we arrived and during our entire stay we had to work around all of these issues. We were under the impression everything was up to par.

The front entranceway walls were dirty and had spider webs on them. The ice maker was broken with a sign on it stating, OUT OF ORDER. The garbage disposal made an awful sound without warning. Also, the back patio was under contruction with dust and tools on it.I called immediately to report these things to management. I was told someone would call me back, however, that did not happen. I had to call management again three separate times to get a response to my original inquiry. Prior to arriving, we were never told that the patio was under construction and that the ice maker did not work. I feel we should have been told about these issues before arrival.After staying a full week at the condo, no one came to clean the front entranceway of the dir and spiders. However, a maintenance man, who was extremely kind, came out to work on the garbage disposal and brought us a bag of ice to use during our stay. I would like to say this is a beautiful decorated condo which I am sure the owner is quite proud of. It is these issues that made my family's visit to it not perfect.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Zero customer service if you needed. We found bugs inside the home and we were told not to worry they are harmless!!! I agree they are harmless outside but I do not think anyone wants to sleep with them as the management company wanted us to.

Perfect Spot for a Relaxing Vacay

This property was the perfect option for our family. We had two grownups, three teenage/young adult boys, and our teenage daughter. There was plenty of room not just when it was time to sleep but also for meals and hanging out. This property is conveniently located close to Baytown Wharf and a quick golf cart ride across the property to the beach (look for the beach access tunnel). The kitchen has all the pots, pans, and tools you need to cook for your family and save some money. Can’t wait to go back.
