« Biggest drawback was the price - at least 40% higher than it should be, if not more. Very disappointed in what we experienced for what we paid. The “vision” of the the place and the intent is higher than the execution. Maybe if was better whenever it first opened. The online photos are way more appealing and attractive than the actual unit. The decor — quaint and rustic - it’s fine. There was a huge (definitely not needed) portable A/C unit right inside the door, along with a portable oil...

« We had a lovely overnight stay and delicious breakfast the next day. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated. Would definitely recommend. »

« The jacuzzi tub was great to relax the muscles after a day of adventure and exploration although we unfortunately had to clean it ourselves before use as there were footprints with sand and dirt within it. The remainder of the room was clean other than the solid thick layer of dust upon the top of the head board. We didn't sleep well as the bed was too firm, it is what it is. The outside curb appeal around the building itself is full of weeds and the bushes need some attention. »

« Great location. Good for 2 people. We had three of us. The place was missing extra sheets and there was no extra toilet paper or paper towels and we ran out of both. Host was helpful and brought sheets, but not toilet paper. We would stay again due to the location near family. »

« We liked it was close to everything but for two people staying, there should have been washcloths for both days and there were not. Coffee was just enough for one day and the sugar and creamer was old. Someone’s hair band hanging in the shower so was it even cleaned? Was told carpets had to be scrubbed due to some spots. Carpet was wet. Other than that, was a cute place. Couldn’t sit outside as there was only 1 chair. »

« The room was very good, walking distance to everything in Grand Marais and the lake. The bed was comfortable but a little to firm for us. It could've had a few more glasses , silverware and plates »
