We were very disappointed with this stay due to numerous cleanliness, maintenance, and safety issues in both units of this duplex. Key concerns included:Unclean floors: Sharp objects (nails, safety pin), kitty litter, medication, and debris found throughout. We had to vacuum ourselves; vacuum canisters were completely full.Bathroom issues (downstairs): Little to no hot water, extremely low water pressure, sinks that did not drain, and no shower barrier—causing the entire floor to become wet and dangerously slippery.Unclean bedding: Stained sheets with visible body hair in the downstairs unit.Blinds and privacy: Blinds were poor quality and damaged throughout both units. The downstairs door window had no covering, creating privacy and security concerns.Slip and fall hazards: No floor mats despite snow and ice. Although mats and salt were later provided, walkways and steps were not salted. No handrail on upstairs concrete steps. Clogged gutters caused water to drip, refreeze, and create hazardous conditions, resulting in a fall.Unsafe furniture: A small upholstered chair collapsed under a 115-lb person; several dining chairs had cracked seats.Host responsiveness: Raspberry Rentals was notified and was provided photos. Some issues were addressed, but many were blamed on prior renters. Our request for a partial refund received no response, and we request VRBO reassess.We were in town for a funeral for a family matriarch, making these conditions especially stressful.
