Located next to the Newport State Airport #TheFlightdeck is the perfect escape from city life.



This spacious 5 bedroom and 2 bath home provides guests with everything you’ll need to enjoy an unforgettable vacation. At #TheFlightdeck you`ll enjoy tastefully thematic interior design that is further set apart with quality finishes that include a coffee bar, gas fireplace, massive dining room table, renovated kitchen, two living rooms, and a fully fenced backyard that is ideal for dogs.



You will not be asked to strip beds, take out garbage, or do other onerous cleaning before you check-out.



#TheFlightdeck is a great place for groups and families to come together. You’ll find a formal dining room with an oversized table with place settings for up to 14. The fully stocked kitchen makes it easy for families and friends to order out, or prepare meals together. Two spacious living rooms feature two couches each, and 75 and 65 inch flatscreen TVs.



With enhanced cleaning measures, and a track record of over 200 five star reviews, Claire and Edward are dedicated local hosts. #TheFlightdeck is your Newport home away from home.



The renovated kitchen features granite countertops, a gas stove, and is fully stocked with dishware, cookware, silverware, etc. A coffee bar provides guests with beans or grounds for drip or french press preparation, and a Keurig is available for quick prep. Four bedrooms are made with luxury linens, and soft rich towels. The two full bathrooms are stocked with hand towels to provide guests with a upscale experience.



#TheFlightdeck is ideal for groups who want a safe, spacious, clean, and upscale stay while visiting the Newport area. There are two king, two queen, two twin, and one full size memory foam beds for a great night sleep for up to 12 guests. The four living room couches, and additional linens and pillows offer practical sleeping arrangements for up to 4 additional guests. #TheFlightdeck is strictly limited to 16 guests.



Guests are encouraged to enjoy the large backyard into the evening. One of our core values is to be a good neighbor. We extend this 5-star experience to you, our guests, as well as our neighbors. This means we have a zero-tolerance policy for late night parties that disturb neighbors. Middletown’s noise ordinance starts at 10pm each day of the week. Activities must come inside and windows should be closed at 10pm if volume will impact our neighbors. Thank you for respecting our island community, and commitment to be a good neighbor.



A Middletown town ordinance limits guests to 2 adults per bedroom. Additional children are allowed. This rental is properly registered with the state, and the town and receives an annual town inspection.



Located off the Newport Pell Bridge and West Main Road, #TheFlightdeck is 4.0 miles and 13 minutes from downtown Newport, and around the corner from the Navy Base and NUWC. The driveway parks six cars. A quick drive or shared ride to the beaches and downtown Newport are $8-12 standard fare, and up to about $30 for late-night surge pricing.



For your safety the space is equipped with smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors. There is also a flashlight, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher located under the kitchen sink. An additional fire extinguisher can be found in the linen closet downstairs. Due to COVID-19 protocols, cleaning supplies now remain available to guests during their stay.



A full-size washer and dryer are available downstairs, and is fully stocked with detergent, oxy, bleach, etc.



No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed in the house. If you wish to smoke, please do so in the backyard at least 20 feet from the doors and windows. Please safely extinguish and throw out your butts in the outside trash.



All of the TV`s in the house operate on an Amazon Fire Stick. We maintain paid access to Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu`s premium service which includes great on demand and live content. Guests are welcome to login to services like Netflix with their own credentials if they prefer to. The Amazon Fire Stick home screen makes this intuitive and easy.



Keypad entry allows for contactless check-in and check-out. Pre COVID, Claire and I made every effort to welcome guests in person. Now, we ask guests in advance if they would prefer to meet us, or not.



We live in a separate residence about three miles away. Guests are welcome to reach out with questions about the Newport area.



We know that people like to come to the Newport area to have fun (it`s part of why we love Newport). This is a house for large groups. It is not a house for loud late night parties. In the same way that we all value keeping our oceans clean of plastic, we ask you to help keep our community quiet at night so that we can all rest and enjoy the day to come.



#TheFlightdeck is a corner lot on a midsized street with a charming historic stone wall. and a fully fenced backyard.



#TheFlightdeck is in a suburban neighborhood. You`ll need a car to get to downtown Newport or Middletown. There is a Stop & Shop grocery store just down the street.



Summer traffic in Newport can be the worst. Uber and Lyft are recommended for evenings out downtown. Once you`re downtown, don`t forget that a pedicab is usually a great option to get around that area. Make sure to carry cash because they operate on tips only.
