"We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "

"We had a great relaxing break at Emma’s cottage. The location is good with plenty of options for restaurants and places to visit. The pool is a real bonus and Emma is a fantastic host always on hand if we needed anything but never intrusive. We will definitely be coming back at some point in the future as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended place to stay"

"Had a lovely time in your chateau, thanks very much. The house was really beautiful, loads of space and lots of quirky features like the piano, vintage bicycles and attic rooms. Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"

"The house and location were ideal as we had small children and at times group get togethers with family in the area. On the plus side, both the interior and the outdoor areas are spacious, with lots of different places to be. The house was very clean, the bedding was good, and in addition to a downstairs WC, the two upstairs bathrooms were great, one with a tub and the other had a fantastic shower. Given that we were often 8 or more for meals, we were pleased to have quite a lot of dishware,...

Really super stay. Note for English renters: Towels and toilet paper not provided as we believe is the custom in France."

The terrace and pool area were perfect for long, lazy lunches in the sunshine. We had a slight issue with the freezer that was dealt very promptly by the helpful and friendly owners. "The hotel was converted from an old distillery. Everything looks and feels ultra modern; if you like ultra modern, then it's good. Because of the conversion, things seem spread out. It took us a little effort to find the restaurants. The restaurant has a Michelin star and is good. The brasserie is great. Also, plenty of parking space. "

"Room was ideal for what we wanted. Close enough to center with free parking available. Restaurants and supermarkets walkable. Easy check in and out. Good value for what we got. Good budget option. Only negative was room could be cleaner in places but to be expected so not to bothered. Very happy overall"

"Lovely hotel in a really good location, the room was wonderful very comfortable bed with a little balcony with a good view over the grounds. The restaurant was amazing with really good service and delicious food, only stayed one night on my way to spain for the weekend and will be staying there again on my return."
