« Worst hotel night ever. The only reason why people should book this hotel is because they have one of the most beautiful onsen in Japan, just on the side of the river. That night, the Typhoon Jebi had just passed over the hotel and when we arrived, there was not power or water anymore. « I don’t believe this accommodation justify the cost if you will stay at this property without dinner and breakfast. I was able to reduce the expense for a night to c. $55 by using Expedia credits equal to $30, but if I didn’t have it, I would recommend to stay another one. Far from the center of Matsumoto Nothing was around the property Nothing would be provided to kids, such as amenities, welcoming tea and snacks, basically. « Ce ryokan offre une plongée dans le Japon traditionnel, l'espace d'une nuit. Le personnel est prévenant et adorable, la communication passe bien malgré leurs compétences en anglais limitées, tant ils sont impliqués ! Les chambres sont superbes, les yukatas et kimonos fournis permettent de se mettre immédiatement dans l'ambiance. Ne ratez surtout pas le onsen, ils y en a un pour les hommes, un pour le femmes et un troisième mixte que vous pouvez réserver très facilement. N'hésitez pas à dîner...

« Okuhida Hot Spring Hirayukan is conveniently located, just a short and easy walk from the Hirayu Onsen bus terminal. A small shop beside the ryokan sells snacks and drinks, which is useful especially in the quieter evenings. Check in was smooth and the ryokan already had our Expedia reservations.
