Starfish Bay is a luxury three‑bedroom oceanfront home built directly on the water in a private gated peninsula at the tip of Marsh Harbour. With over 2,000 sq ft of outdoor decks, a protected dock in a private marina, and stairs that lead straight into the sea, this is island living at its finest—designed for families and friends who want space, comfort, and the ocean at their feet. THE HOME
Starfish Bay was purpose‑built for luxury waterfront living and completed in June 2022. Bahamian‑style exposed ceilings and an open‑plan layout create a home that feels grand yet relaxed, with every main room oriented toward the sea.

OUTDOOR LIVING — THE HEART OF STARFISH BAY
The outdoor living at Starfish Bay is exceptional. With three distinct zones totaling over 2,000 sq ft, your group will spend most of their time outside and never feel crowded.

Zone 1 — Covered porch (~600 sq ft):
Large sliding doors from the master, living room, and waterfront guest room open onto a spacious covered porch. This is the transition space between indoors and out—shaded, breezy, and furnished for lounging. Perfect for reading, napping, or escaping the midday sun while staying close to the action.

Zone 2 — Upper deck (~1,000 sq ft):
The main event: a massive uncovered deck with infinity ocean views in every direction. Furnished with four cushioned chaises, four Adirondack chairs, an outdoor dining table that seats six, and a high‑top table for four. A cornhole set is always out for friendly competition. A large outdoor A/C unit helps keep the covered areas cooler on hot summer days. This is where sunsets happen, dinners are shared, and memories are made.

Zone 3 — Lower deck with ocean access:
Below the upper deck, a lower platform with wide stairs leads directly into the crystal‑clear Sea of Abaco. An outdoor shower on this level lets you rinse off after swimming, snorkeling, or a day on the boat.

Outdoor kitchen:
A full outdoor cooking setup sits on the deck level—Weber gas grill, outdoor sink, and prep counter. Grill today’s catch, prep sides, and serve everything without leaving the waterfront. The chef stays part of the group.

Hammock:
Strung on the upper deck, the hammock is a guest favorite—sway in the sea breeze with a direct view over the water.

Water toys launched directly from the lower deck:
4 watercraft (mix of kayaks and stand‑up paddleboards)

YOUR PRIVATE DOCK & MARINA
Starfish Bay includes access to a private, protected boat slip in our on‑site marina for vessels up to ~60 ft. The marina is located on the calm canal between the property and Sugarloaf Cay—a south‑facing waterway that provides sheltered dockage in most weather, including strong northerly winds that can make other docks in the Abacos uncomfortable or unsafe.

OFF‑GRID LUXURY — POWER & WATER
Starfish Bay is part of a self‑sufficient private property. You will never worry about power outages or water quality—a genuine concern at many Abaco rentals, but not here.

Solar power plant provides reliable 24/7 electricity. Two diesel generators stand by as backup only. This is a true “green” power system—you are staying at one of the most sustainably powered vacation rentals in the Bahamas.

Rainwater harvesting collects and stores fresh water on‑site. Reverse osmosis and a quadruple filtration system with UV treatment ensure every faucet delivers clean, drinkable water. No need to buy bottled water.

Everything was perfect. The house was clean, fully equipped and had lovely extra amenities we weren't expecting. The owners were readily available and extremely helpful throughout the booking process. The digital guide to the house and the area that they provide is above and beyond. The caretaker was great as well. Or only regret is that we couldn't stay longer and we can't wait to come back.

Perfect spot for a picky boater

I'm difficult to impress, especially when it comes to rentals, but this exceeded my expectations. As we know, many rentals photograph well, but don't live up to that expectation. However, this property exceeded that standard. The dock was great, probably one of the best condition wise I've stayed at in the Abacos unlike some in treasure. House was great, well furnished with air fryer etc. Will definitely stay again if we come back to the abacos.

The property, host and caretaker (Roland) was amazing! The property was extraordinary, and Brandon was nothing short of a tour guide. He was so helpful. Please listen to his suggestions. It made our trip! It is a lovely property. The deck area was fabulous. I used it as a personal office for several days. The views are incredible. We loved our stay. We are considering our vow renewal at this property. #stunning! Roland was also a gem. You get what you pay for. It was so well stocked. It is amazing! Book it! The photo is right off the dock. Amazing week in paradise!

We had a fantastic stay! The home was beautiful, spotless, and exactly as described. Communication was seamless from start to finish. An Amazing Abacos Vacation

As a renter of vrbos for over 20 years, it's hard to get me to rave about something. But Starfish Bay was truly one of the best houses we have ever stayed at. Brandon and Roland (property manager) were fantastic - super responsive, helpful, and accommodating.The house itself was perfect, really perfect. One of the best equipped kitchens we've ever had (and great cooking on the grill over the sea!) All furnishing and the house were new - and gave you the luxurious feel of a high end resort.We used the dock slip and rented a boat for the week - it was amazing along with the ice from Roland every day and the fish cleaning station on the dock.At the end of each day, sitting on the massive deck over the sea was the best - watching turtles, rays, and dolphins while we read or played games or just relaxed int he sun. Truly and amazing experience!!

First off everything that was portrayed in the listing is spot on as it appears. The property was in pristine condition and absolutely beautiful. To have Roland there to get what we needed along with any problems ( which there weren’t any);to fix was a blessing and he was such a pleasure to have around. Contacting the owners when needed during the process of booking and what to expect was speedy and professional. I would recommend this property to ANYONE and we will be booking again here shortly. Starfish Bay an Exceptional Bahamian experience!!

This was our 2nd time visiting Abaco! It was our first time staying at Starfish Bay and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our week long stay! Brandon and Lucy have an amazing property and accommodations that are second to none! This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house was immaculate and very well appointed with any and everything you could ever possibly need or want! The huge front deck overlooking the sea of Abaco was so great for morning coffee and the sunrise to the east! The back docks, in the narrows, were great too, especially if windy on the Sea of Abaco! The snorkeling right on property was amazing! Their caretaker, Roland was extremely helpful and so kind! Unfortunately, we never had the pleasure of meeting Sandrine, but I can say that she does an amazing job keeping the house so clean and fresh! We walked along the ocean on Eastern Shores road every morning! The house is private in its location but so close to all the amenities, such as Maxwells Grocery, the liquor store and some great bars and restaurants! We would highly recommend this property for your stay in Marsh Harbour, Abaco Island! We plan to book another stay next year! We had an absolutely amazing stay at this ocean front property in Marsh Harbor! From the moment we booked to arriving was a breeze & the property was impeccably clean. The location was perfect & the communication with the property manager was seamless. One of the highlights was the dock, which was exactly what we needed for the size of our boat. It made our boating adventures hassle-free & convenient. The hosts truly went above & beyond to make us feel like we were home, providing everything we needed & more. Packing was a breeze since the have everything covered - just clothes, swimsuits, sunscreen & deodorant were all we really needed to bring (& any food). Even their digital guide had all your questions answered, even questions you didn't know you had. Now lets talk about the view! It was absolutely breathtaking, something you could wake up to & enjoy a cup of coffee & watch the sunrise. The amenities provided were top notch, ensuring we had a comfortable & memorable stay. Roland was incredibly friendly, helpful & available whenever we needed his assistance. Needless to say, we would highly recommend this VRBO to our friends & family, & we wouldn't hesitate to rebook. Another great thing about this spot is its proximity to all the other Cays in the Abaco Islands. It made exploring the surrounding areas a breeze & added to the overall enjoyment of our trip. Amazing view of the Sea of Abaco

What an amazing place and dock! Could not have asked for a cleaner, more spacious, inviting, well supplied accommodation with a spectacular view. Abaco Bliss

Everything you want for your Abaco stay, boat dock right there, personal ice maker , AC , sunrise and Sunset off the back deck , hermit crab races, good electric and water- never a glitch. Excellent kitchen and outdoor grill. It was actually much better than I deserved in the Bahamas.Easy access to airport - no ferry needed!

5 Star Resort Experience

By far the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The hosts have thought of everything. You will not find a nicer, cleaner, better appointed VRBO in the Bahamas. We enjoyed the breathtaking views from the oversized deck every morning and evenings. The protected dockage was ideal mooring for our boat. The location was perfect for exploring all the Abaco Cays via boat each day. Communication and accessibility with the house manager was easy. He was extremely helpful and courteous everyday. We will definitely return to Starfish and Mermaid Cove often. Thank you Brandon and Lucy for sharing your home and little piece of paradise with us.

EXCELLENT STAY

Our family of 6 stayed on the ocean side of the property (note pic shown of the large deck with ocean front views). This has easy walk in access to the ocean and although we had all adults, a great location for kids too. The home was spacious and open with 2 queen bedrooms and a Master. LARGE deck with chairs/tables, etc and a grill/sink area which was awesome! Full washer/dryer located in garage, pack less - which we love. We've stayed in numerous rentals and this was BY FAR the most outfitted with spices, k-cups and machine for coffee, tea bags, sugar cubes, all the cooking utensils/dish and glasses needed, extra ice machine, towels, robes, starter dental kit, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, starter sun block, beach towels and also a cooler to use while there (which was a huge help as we did day trips and brought snacks/beverages and lunches). Easy drive from the airport with grocery and liquor stores on the way, and also very close to the ferry dock. We used the kayaks, paddle boards, saw sharks and rays, turtles, starfish and really enjoyed the view. Everyday it was something new. The home is immaculate, clean, bright and lovely. Roland was so helpful and the owners were amazingly accommodating, helpful and kind. This is a rebuild after Dorian, and they have done a beautiful job on this property - highly recommended and we would definitely rent here again! The owners are awesome and so is Roland! Thank you Brandon and Lucy, you were wonderful! Hope to see you again soon!

Vacation

I've been fortunate enough to stay in a few 5-star homes/resorts... Starfish Bay far exceeds any of them. The attention to detail and all the amenities is beyond expectations. Every detail has been attended to. The place is immaculate, and the view is nothing short of spectacular. The outside deck is expansive. Lusea and Brandon were in communication making sure we had everything we needed and providing suggestions on activities. They have a caretaker on site who was very attentive and just pleasant to talk with. If there was a higher rating than 5 stars, I would have given it on this review.

Amazing house, hosts, location!

Close to the Marsh Harbor airport and about anything else you want to see, this house will surprise you. It's brand new construction, totally off grid and absolutely stunning! The hosts listen closely to suggestions. We made 2 and they're already being acted on. You'll find 2 true master suites. The attention to detail in this home are evident. Don't think off grid means limited. In this case, it means better and more reliable. Paddle boards and kayaks available and you'll want to use them in the calm waters just off your porch. Yes, even the beds are super comfy. As an investor with several short term beach properties, I can only wish my properties were as well equipped and managed. It's the little things that make big differences... shampoos and soaps, spices, coffees, sugars, beach towels, AN APP with suggestions for restaurants, sites, every question you might have about the house... come on! Brandon and Lucy make everyone else look baaaad! Thank you both for making our Abaco experience the best!

Exceptional Property and Host

Starfish Bay is an exceptional property! The home is absolutely beautiful, in immaculate condition and nicely appointed both inside and out, including items like a gas grill, air fryer, Ninja smoothie maker, and lots of additional linens/beach towels. And the water lapping the rocks just below the deck is as soothing as it is beautiful. Since the property is located at the end of the peninsula, it provides access to both sea and sound which is great. We found ourselves switching from side to side to enjoy the water and views depending on weather and time of day. Having the water toys and dock available was a great bonus. I cannot say enough about our hosts, Brandon and Lucy. Communication was quick and easy from start to finish. It is very apparent that they care deeply about their property and desire to create the perfect getaway for their guests. Our family of 5 stayed at Starfish Bay and rented a boat with hopes of spending all of our time exploring the Abacos by water. Although the weather did not cooperate every day, Brandon was always quick to offer suggestions for alternate places/activities to enjoy. His extensive knowledge of the area greatly enhanced our stay. The caretaker, Roland, was attentive and always had a smile on his face. He was a joy to meet. One thing to note....While the property itself was stunning, Marsh Harbour and much of the island is still recovering from Dorian. If you are exploring the Sea of Abaco and surrounding areas via boat, there are numerous options for activities/dining but those options are limited on the island.

Ocean Front Gem

This is a really special property. The house is absolutely spotless and sits directly on the Sea of Abaco with a huge deck just steps from the water and perfect for enjoying the views. It is incredibly well managed by two wonderful people who strive to make your stay memorable. We could not have asked for a better place to stay while looking for our own property in the Abacos. Perfect spot in the Abacos

I’ve spent a ton of time in the Abacos and the location and layout of this property is amazing. You have a calm channel to keep your boat docked in and the ocean in front of your house for snorkeling, paddle boarding and relaxing. The location is also perfect to island hopping. It’s a great getaway for families or solo travel because it’s private and safe. I will definitely be rebooking this property as soon as possible. Also, the owners and the caretaker of the property are super responsive and really helpful. Five stars all the way.

Wonderful property

The house is beautiful, and the views are amazing. There is new safe dockage where I felt comfortable leaving my new 35 foot center console. The owners and staff exceeded our expectations. The property manager and groundskeeper were available 24/7 if we need assistance with anything. The house was fully stocked and ready for our arrival. There is still construction going on in the area, we were aware of this prior to booking. It did not cause us any issues. I never heard workers before 7:30 in the morning and only Monday through Friday. One member of our group worked from home the entire trip and had no problems with Internet connection for online meetings. I would recommend this property.
