This was a great gite and perfect for us being close to Carcassone and the coast. We had everything we needed for our 11 night stay. The property has recently been renovated (from an old wine cave) to a high standard with excellent kitchen facilities and a lovely spacious bathroom. It is on one level although there are a couple of steps up to bathroom and as it was a wine cave has very thick walls so kept lovely and cool in the high summer temperatures. There is also air conditioning, which was a bonus. The private outdoor space, grounds and pool are lovely and very well kept by James and Samantha who were lovely, unobtrusive hosts. They made us pizzas one evening on their pizza oven and they were lovely and saved us cooking on return from a day sightseeing. Marseillette is a lovely little village with a cafe bar which seemed to be open every day and it is a short drive to both Capendu and Trebes for boulangeries and supermarkets. Will definitely return in the future.
