« First impression was the parking lot; it is rough and very uneven. We arrived at dark and there was one other person waiting to check in at the time, but no one was at the desk. She called the hotel several times with no answer and then someone finally came out to help us. I used a 3rd party site to book. « Stayed overnight on a trip south. Staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. Breakfast was great, too. Will stay again if our travels bring us this way. »

« I booked a room for one night for myself, my husband, and our sons. We chose a room featuring a king-size bed and a pull-out sofa. However, there was absolutely no bedding provided in the room! I had to strip the sheet off our own bed just to make up the sofa for the boys. There were also no extra pillows or blankets, and the towels were barely enough for two people... All in all, it’s a good thing we were only staying for one night! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. »

« Perfect house for a group of 7 adults. Lots of comfy seating inside and out on the deck and dock. Well stocked with oil, spices, etc. Master bed was very comfortable. Other beds were OK. Dock area is small and not deep water. That didn't matter to us since we went in September. Wifi was very slow but we had 5 people trying to work so more our fault than the house. Overall, an excellent Lake Gaston rental. »
