  • Beautiful ski-in, ski-out condo at Sunstone Lodge, located on Mammoth

    Mountain's Eagle Run trail above Juniper Springs Lodge. This 2nd floor

    property has mountain views and great amenities throughout. The comfortable

    living room features a large flat screen TV, sofa and custom fireplace and

    opens out onto the great balcony with mountain views. The full Kitchen has

    granite counter tops and upgraded appliances, with a bar area and seating for

    four in the dining area. The master bedroom has a comfortable King bed and a

    flat screen TV, the second bedroom features two Twin beds and TV, and the

    living room has a Queen sofa bed. Upgraded bedding, linens and supplies

    throughout, and two full baths! All guests receive complimentary full access

    to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool,

    steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more.

    The ultimate ski-in, ski-out experience at Mammoth awaits. This condo sleeps a

    maximum of 6 people and comes with underground, heated garage parking for one

    vehicle (garage clearance is 8' 2"). Guests will be provided one parking pass.

    If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our

    office for alternative options. There are no stairs to this unit, no stairs

    inside, and no smoking or pets are permitted. Our calendar is updated in real

    time. This unit comes with building wide wireless internet, we cannot

Fantastic condo!

Short Summer Visit

This unit was just as described, very nice. It would have been nice to have had coffee filters with the other coffee service items that were there. Bedding is very comfortable. Hair dryer in master bath needs to be replaced.

Great condo with easy ski in/ski out accesss. Great parking in garage with luggage carts and elevators, ski lockers, jacuzzi. Only pet peeve is that now that Covid has abated would really expect towel service or at least stocking the units with lots of wash cloths so that we didn’t have to launder washcloths nearly every day in central laundry. For the price we should not have to wash our own washcloths.

Had to go to Lobby to get a decent consistent connection.- Hot tub was barely lukewarm and unusable. Called to ask to fix but nothing happened.

An absolutely wonderful location

My wife and I go to Mammoth for the snowboarding. We enjoy not needing to drive while we are up there. This condo is practically ski in and out (maybe 20 feet of walking if I'm being picky), the garage is heated, and there are elevators. The condo has very good lighting (we work remote, good lighting makes all the difference when we have to work). If you plan on cooking, bring your own spices (some places have mountains of spices in their drawers from what people had left, this place has salt and pepper). But really, this place is nice.It is worth noting, this wasn't our original place. We had arrived up in Mammoth for a week and the place we were going to stay had a roof leak over the bed. The management company found another place for us which was impressive giving the length of stay and absolutely amazing season Mammoth is currently having.

Appliances worn out

Almost all appliances in the apartment are broken. The refrigerator is missing a bottom shelf in the door. The biggest problem with it is that it is VERY LOUD. Same goes with the dishwasher. It is VERY LOUD. Those two outdated appliances make it hard to enjoy watching TV (for such a small kitchen/living room the focus should be on quiet appliances). The vents in the bathrooms are also very loud. For such a nice apartment in a good location it is a shame that the owner does not replace appliances and fans that are obviously long past replacement date. The king size bed was fitted with a queen size mattress. Another thing that did not work was the wifi. All these issues are easy fixes, yet you keep renting it out in this condition. On the upside the apartment was clean. The stove worked fine and so did the microwave oven. The hot tub was super nice. I suspect you won't post this review as it does not shine a positive light on Sunstone #214. What you should do is let the owner know, or suggest, that he maintains the apartment properly. It is such an easy fix. Would we return to Sunstone? Yes, but not to this apartment.

Relaxation in the Sierras!

The property was beautiful, nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. We had a great view while sitting on the couch. Service was great and we were so happy to stay there. We truly enjoyed our stay and could relax there! The only issue I had was that the dishes and cups were dirty and most still had food stuck on them. When I got there, I had to hand wash some items and place all dishes and cups into the dishwasher. It wasn't great when first arriving to discover that.

Business & Pleasure Get-a-way

I would not recommend this property for a business or vacation get-a-way. The unit I rented did not have any of the typical VRBO amenities. Simple things such as basic instructions for the patio door lock, which was not your typical, self-explanatory lock, as well as TV/Cable access directions would have saved me time and frustration. The heavy wooden blinds were irritating due to tangled cords and offered no option for privacy if the windows were open for airflow (no AC in the unit). The unit smelled musty and was stuffy. Inexpensive courtesies for renters such as scissors, plastic wrap or baggies would be nice & are usually stocked in VRBO rentals. Absolutely no staff or assistance is available for this property which made access difficult & frustrating at best. Limited parking with very little light in the parking structure did not create a nice experience for a single female on vacation either. This property is overpriced with no amenities, staff, or basic courtesies compared to most rentals or hotel rooms.

Our Great Vacation In Mammoth

I've been coming to Mammoth in the summer for most of my life. Now, I've had the opportunity to share may love of Mammoth with my husband and children. We've stayed in many nice condo's over the years, but the Sunstone property was lovely and the views were spectacular. For people that ski, this place is right next to the lift. My children swam in the pool and warmed up in the jacuzzi everyday. The condo itself was cute and clean. The sky was blue and the air so fresh. We'd definetly come back for another stay.

the dirty ring in the toilet bowl combined with a plunger next to the toilet UPON OUR ARRIVAL was the first clue that plumbing might be an issue for our stay... the polite management and rapid response rooter crew got everything fixed fast. +/- view but excellent true ski-in - ski-out building that handles your Suburban and rocket box in covered parking (height 8'2" )...would recommend to others

Sunstone 214 Ski in -Ski out

Great condo for ski in - ski out accomodations. Literally, you walk outside, put on your skis and ski down to Eagle Express. Also a short walk to and from the lodge. Only drawback, the living room has a tough time accommodating 4 people. The couch and chairs aren't very comfortable. To relax I had to hang out in the master bedroom on the bed. Still worth it, though.

Perfect Ski In/Ski Out

Had the most amazing experience at Sunstone $214. Beautiful building, excellent underground parking, plus a wonderfully appointed 2-bedroom apartment/condo. Nice full kitchen with coffee, hot chocolate, and popcorn packs ready to go. Great sized bedrooms, perfect for a family of 4. Almost brand new. Would definitely go back. The proximity to the slopes and Eagle Lodge is 100 feet. Can ski right in and out. Also the heated pool and jacuzzi were a life-saver after a day of skiing. Fully recommend!

Excellent location, truly ski in ski out once it had snowed. Lovely condo, very well equipped and nicely furnished, also enjoyed using the hearth room, swimming pool and hot tub in the complex. Laundry room facilities were very handy. Only difficulty was opening the lock box to pick up the key cards on arrival, fortunately there was someone in the complex office to help us.
