Villa Ourania is a holiday home rental fully renovated in 2022 to the higher standards and a superb example of Greek hospitality. Set in an idyllic location above the famous resorts of Ligaria and Agia Pelagia, in Heraklion Crete offering the most breathtaking views over the Aegean Sea. Thanks to its location, the villa offers total privacy to the guests and it is approximately 5-10 minutes drive (5 km) from Ligaria beach and 15-20 minutes drive (10 km) from Agia Pelagia beach. It is approximately 15 minutes drive (22 km) from Heraklion Airport. We advise you to rent a car. It has a private swimming pool of 60m2[10m x 6m (depth 1.4m)] a part of which (7m2) is designed for children use with comfortable sunbeds and parasols. It also has a wonderful garden with a lawn and flowers of approximately 800 sq.m and offers a wonderful, panoramic sea view! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax under the shining Cretan sun. The whole property provides high-speed Wi-Fi.
Villa Ourania is composed by the Main House (9 bedrooms fully air-conditioned, 6 bathrooms, 1 lounge, 1 living area, a kitchen) and a Guest House (2 en-suite bedrooms, 1 kitchen with living area), which in case of groups more that 18 people is rented together for a total of 11 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Maximum capacity in beds: 22 guests (18 people in the Main House + 4 people in the Guest House). Together with the sofabeds, this villa can comfortably accommodate up to 26 guests (22 in beds, 3 in sofa beds and can also be added extra folding beds if needed/requested).
The Main House is 330m2 sets over four levels (Main Level, First Level, Second Level, Lower Level).
Main Level Entering the house you will find a large library with board games. At this level there is a fully equipped kitchen with modern electrical appliances (double door refrigerator with water filter, ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave) and all the necessary appliances for a comfortable stay (filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, etc.). In this level there is also the washing machine inside a cupboard together along with other useful household equipment such as iron, iron board, foldable drying rack, etc. In addition, here you will find two large dining tables, each one can accommodate up to twelve people. There is also a large living room with smart TV with satellite channels and Netflix App and a huge sofa which can easily be converted into a large bed and can accommodate two or more people. A second living room is located on the same level that provides a smart TV with satellite channels and Netflix App and a corner sofa bed, which can accommodate an extra person. Both living rooms have direct access to a shared balcony with a large dining table for twelve people, with view and access to the pool area as well as, sea view. Finally, there is a bathroom with two separate shower rooms with rain showers, double hand basin and one hair dryer. The whole level provides high-speed Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and smoke detector. A bluetooth wireless speaker is also provided.
First Level On the first level, there is en-suite bedroom and a separate bathroom for all the guests. “Ourania” bedroom has a Queen bed, air-conditioning, a smart TV with satellite channels and Netflix App and a safe box. There is also a window over-looking the Cretan mountains and a large private balcony with a sitting area, where you can enjoy the unique Cretan sunset and the breathtaking sea view. “Ourania” bedroom has en-suite facilities with a rain shower room, a toilet, hand basin, and one hairdryer. The separate bathroom which is on this level is spacious enough with a rain shower room, a toilet, hand basin, and one hairdryer. The whole level provides high-speed Wi-Fi and a fire extinguisher.
Second Level On the second level there are in total seven bedrooms. Bedroom “Vasilis” is the first that you see on your left as you enter this level. It has a Queen bed, air-conditioning and two cute windows over-looking to the beautiful bay of Ligaria and Agia Pelagia. On your right as you enter this level, there is one more air-conditioned, bedroom with Queen bed, “Spiros”, with one window overlooking the back yard and the impressive Cretan mountains. Next to “Vasilis” bedroom, there is “Chysi” bedroom. It also has a Queen bed, air-conditioning, one window with sea view and access to a balcony that is shared with the next bedroom, “Fenia”. “Fenia” bedroom is the largest one, has a Queen bed, two windows, as well as the access to the shared balcony with “Chrysi” bedroom, over-looking to the pool area and the sea. Through this bedroom you have access to the cute attic “Maria”. This attic has a semi-double bed, air-conditioning and a private terrace with the most breathtaking sea view that you can ever imagine! As you enter this level, some other stairs on your right, lead’s you to “Ioannis” bedroom. This bedroom has a Queen bed, air-conditioning and a window over-looking the Cretan mountains and the back yard. Next to “Ioannis” there is a further newly added low ceiling bedroom, “The Loft”. It has two single beds, air-conditioning, and a window with panoramic sea view. The beds can be merged into a King size bed, if needed and requested before arrival. On this level, there is also a bathroom with two separate shower rooms with rain showers, double hand basin and one hair dryer. The whole area provides high-speed Wi-Fi and a fire extinguisher.
Lower Level On this level (pool level) there is “Pantelis” bedroom, a separate bathroom for all the guests, a low ceiling storage room and the engine room of the house which is “staff only” accessible for safety reasons. “Pantelis” bedroom has access both from inside the house through some stairs and from a separate private entrance from the back yard, that is wheelchair accessible. “Pantelis” bedroom has a Queen bed, air-conditioning, one hairdryer and its en-suite has a shower room, a toilet and a hand basin. Moreover this bedroom has a large veranda door that leads you to the sitting area in front of the garden and the pool. This en-suite bedroom is ideal for couples. The low ceiling storage room which is placed also on this level has variety of kid’s toys, as well as pool toys and pool towels. Finally, the separate bathroom has a toilet, hand basin, and one hairdryer for the bathers and the guests who spend time inthe garden area. The whole level provides high-speed Wi-Fi and a fire extinguisher.
Guest House Finally, there is a separate guest house that is set over one floor approximately 20m from the Main House. It has an open living space with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and a living area with fireplace. There are also two air-conditioned, ensuite bedrooms with Queen beds, showers/WC, hair-dryer. It is ideal for a small family or two couples.
Outdoors Outside the Guest House, is located a large covered dinning area for twelve people and a brick-built BBQ facilities (a traditional wood oven, grill, fireside, etc.). The whole area provides high-speed Wi-Fi and fire extinguisher. There is also a private parking area for 10+ cars.
