« Beautiful property »

« We had a great stay while skiing for 2 days at nearby Catamount ski resort. The kitchen and house were fully stocked with all essentials. Netflix access enabled us to enjoy a family movie after a long day of skiing. Cozy house and quiet area.......nice to wake up to hear birds chirping!! »

« Amazing location right across the street from the entrance to Hunter. Very clean and spacious. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. We had one glitch that was quickly addressed by our lovely host. We would come stay again! »

« The house was fantastic. Close to Hunter Mountain Ski Resort and a cute one street town. Peter and Lara had both wood burning stoves going for us when we arrived. The house is wonderful with a fun separate hang out place for the kids. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Hot tub with wonderful views. All the firewood you could ever need. We will be back for sure! »

« We enjoyed the spacious 2bedroom, 2 bathroom home in a great location. Well stocked kitchen and large beautiful bathrooms. It's a very comfortable house for having relatives visit. »

« The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was great for the 13 of us. The big kitchen, pantry and long dining tables made for fun interaction. The game room with pool table and ping pong table were perfect for after dinner fun. Beautiful property on the river. We plan to go back. Historic homes are tough to maintain and our hope is that it is as nice in the future as it was this week. »

« This is a beautiful property. We had a lovely view of the sunrise on the mountain before we drove to Hunter to ski (about 11 miles / 16 minutes away) and then enjoyed the living room fireplace each evening. The property is close to both Hunter and Phoenicia for breakfast, dinner, or shopping but quiet and secluded enough to feel private and restful. We hope to come back in the summer to enjoy breakfast by the creek and dinner on the large deck. »

« Wonderful property that allowed me to disconnect and relax. The home was comfortable and clean. Although this may seem weird, the towels were hotel quality and the sheets were clean and fresh. I appreciate this because I’ve stayed at some rentals that the sheets and towels were very questionable. I had everything I needed. Would definitely stay here again. Great communication by the property manager. They were awesome! »

« This was our second family weekend at Jewel House and it did not disappoint! The big well stocked kitchen makes meal time prep and clean up easy and it has plenty of beds & baths for our group of 17. The front porch is a great place to relax and enjoy time catching up and we especially enjoyed our evening spent around the backyard fire pit. It's private and peaceful, just what we were looking for. The host was quick to respond to text messages when we found a small issue at check in that was...

« The house was great. It's new and had everything we needed/wanted. Thre was a small deck where the BBQ grill was located and there were plenty of seats and tables on the lawn. We had a great time BBQing. The yard was not fenced, but had natural vegetation separting it from the other properties. We loved the community pool/beach/tennis court. The pool/beach was just a few houses down. The doggy beach was small, but that didn't stop our dog from going swimming. The community dog park was not...

« We have enjoyed several stays in this wonderful cottage…usually in the winter. We were so delighted sitting on the porch in the evenings listening to the chorus of frogs by the lake. Absolutely enchanting! Ellen is a wonderful hostess. The cottage is immaculate and well stocked. Hopefully we will visit this cozy cottage again! »
