« This is a run down old motel with a lot of deferred maintenance. There appears to be no effort made to remodel, update freshen up or improve the property. The room smelled very stale. Worn, dirty carpet. Dark. Minimal lighting. Small rooms. Needs paint. Owner/manager lives on premise. Can't or won't communicate. Don't know if he speaks English. After viewing the room, I forfeited my non-refundable 1 night rent and stayed elsewhere. I can't believe Expedia includes this motel on their listings. »

« I feel bad giving this review as it seems like a family is trying to run this place and they were very nice but in way over their heads. Our room smelled terrible including the bathroom smelling like urine. The owner was very accommodating and switched rooms. The place had a dank smell, areas smelled like cigarettes, and hallways needed to be vacuumed. « All sites indicate there is a hot tub, however, there is not. Apparently has been closed for awhile, filled up with cement with a rusty dusty pool table on top. There was a man that kept his room door open a few doors down and smelled up the entire motel. When I tell you it smelled like a crappy old folks home I am not exaggerating. I highly doubt there was any chlorine in the pool as there was no chlorine smell. Very very disgusting place. »

« We were in Thorp visiting relatives in the area. We were thrilled to find this house so we didn’t have to stay at the local hotel. The house is adorable, clean, and a lovely retreat if you are in the area. I hope to stay here again next year when I am visiting family. »
