Within walking distance of several walks and Derwent Water jetty from where you can catch the ferry to points around the lake and to Keswick. Sofia and the staff made us feel very welcome. "Booked this lodge last minute as we wanted to catch the heatwave. Absolute perfect location. We have been to the lakes several times but never bassenthwaite. Brought the paddle boards and literally a 30 seconds walk to the water. So quiet, stunning views, just perfect. Short drive into keswick too. ..."
