Casa Omara ~ Heart of Downtown/Nulu! ~ 3 King Beds

Nestled between Louisville's most vibrant neighborhoods of Downtown & NuLu, Casa Omara is chock full of delightful surprises & thoughtful touches. Named after one of Cuba's most prominent musicians, Omara Portuondo, our home is crafted to play host to life's celebrations and weekend getaways.

Once you enter our front door, you'll be in the boxing bedroom with its own private bath. From there, you'll pass the laundry room, full bath, kitchen/living area & into the bluegrass bedroom. You'll then make your way downstairs, where you'll enter Omara's lounge with a 1/2 bath and access to the patio on the same level as well as the staircase whisking you into Hemingway's Hideaway. We've provided King beds for guests in all 3 bedrooms.

Whether you're looking to gather with friends in the courtyard for a sip & salud!, get nostalgic in a round of Pacman or rest up after hitting the bourbon trail, you'll find the comforts of home at your fingertips. We had so much fun curating this vibrant space and hope you love it as much as we do!

Whether you prefer to walk, scooter, drive or Uber, the only hard part is picking which distillery tour, top restaurant or activity to venture to next. If you're going the vehicle route, there's 1 garage spot available to our guests two doors down. For additional vehicles, there are multiple free & pay-to-park options in front of the building & along adjacent blocks. One of our favorite features of the block is being able to smell the bourbon batches in action at Angel's Envy next door! Beautiful and fully equipped with everything we need. We walked to Nulu and downtown- so much to do in less than 10 min walk.Our favorite part of the home was the secret hideaway game room. Plenty of room and separation between the bedrooms for everyone to have their own space.Extremely clean and quiet.

Met our needs! There are a lot of stairs to this place, going up to the apartment and then going down to the 3rd bedroom and hideaway. I guess we were not expecting that. If you are physically able, this is a place for you!A lot of one way roads, grocery is not within walking distance and most everything required a uber. Beds were comfortable ac worked great and plenty of storage for our bags. Very clean and no issues with check-in or check out!

Two friends and I stayed here for a long weekend of golf and general frivolity. First, it's an amazing space. Very cool. Very walkable to restaurants and bars nearby. We weren't in the apartment much, but it was a very welcoming space when we did finally crash for the night. Very clean, and everything worked well. Would stay here again on my next visit to Louisville.

FRIENDS ON THE BOURBON TRAIL

The Property was amazing. Perfectly located in the downtown area to have walking access to local establishments. Pictures do not do this place justice. It was better than we could have imagined. Very quiet and easy access to interstate for our daily travels. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Louisville area!!

Cozy, comfortable, quiet and clean ! A lovely place with so much character! Plenty of room for the 6 of us to spread out and enjoy each other. Our 7 year old grandson was over the moon with the PAC Man game!! We had two awesome gathering area for our time together and plenty of privacy and quiet for sleeping. Spacious loft

My group of five women had plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves during our stay in Louisville. We liked the decor, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. The kitchen was adequate for cooking although there really weren't any grocery stores nearby. It was a short walk to shops and restaurants, however. I don't think I would feel comfortable walking in the neighborhood by myself at night. People with mobility issues should be aware that you must climb stairs to the second floor to enter the apartment. Also there are stairs to access one of the bedrooms, and more stairs to the bonus living space. There is also a small courtyard with furniture outside; it was a quiet place to enjoy a cocktail or read a book. There is street noise and noise from other people in the building entering and leaving, which is particularly bothersome from the front bedroom. The host has provided white noise machines but I would also recommend earplugs. We used Uber to get around, which certainly was convenient. Overall I recommend Casa Omara.

Kentucky Bourbon Trail

My husband and I and two other couples have been planning a trip to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail for years and we finally made it happen! Casa Omara was the perfect spot to come “home” to after a long day of distillery tours, Slugger Museum tour and Churchill Downs tour. Casa Omara is unique and has so much history and character. A very comfortable space as well! Very well appointed with more than enough kitchen and bathroom amenities than are even needed. The big block Old Fashion ice cubes were a splendid touch! The only thing I would suggest is extra blankets and towels. Other than that, the beds were super comfy and we loved that every room had their own thermostat! The Hosts were extremely attentive and so helpful with any questions you have about their VRBO and the Louisville area. They went out of their way to help look for an item I thought I had left behind. Oh! And the game room was super fun. First time at PacMan in a very long time! Would highly recommend!

Excellent space in great location

The most accurate listing description; the place is in a great location and an exceptional space. Came here as a family of four (kids 13,10) and had an absolute blast. We all loved the ample space and the decor made every room its own identity. 3 separate floors and the most wonderfully decorated space. Our favorite parts were the common areas. A great sitting area off the kitchen made for nice family hangouts for discussing plans for the day or winding down for the night. Then heading down to “Hemingway’s Hideaway” was an extra special treat for the family! We had a blast playing games as a family and enjoying time together. Plenty of board and table games to get the kids off the TV and electronics. And we all had nostalgic fun playing the table top Pac Man machine. Then the location was absolutely perfect for us! Walkable to all the locations we wanted to hit nearby and a parking garage next door for when we needed the car. Walks down Market and Main Street were great for taking in the city! Highly recommend this listing!

Amazing Place

This rental is fantastic! The decor, amenities, and location are amazing. Walkable to so much, easy access to interstate to head out to other locations on Bourbon Trail. We enjoyed local coffee that was waiting by the coffee pot. We had so much fun. Definitely will return!

What a great stay!

Property was very clean and well equipped with everything you could need. So nice to have an assigned parking spot in nearby garage, and had easy access to parking lot right behind property for our 2nd vehicle ($12/day). Great location to downtown spots and even walkable to 4th street live events. Lots of steps, but worth it to get to this great space-we had a blast!
