« This was our first time staying in Sacramento. Been to it and thru it a million times but have never stayed!! This cottage/home/neighbirhood. Felt like home. ABSOLUTELY gorgeous neighborhood! Immaculately clean and super well equipped! We might come back just for fun next time. We were in town for a volleyball tournament and didn’t get to relax or enjoy the serenity of this property! « Heron Cottage was the best VRBO experience we have had to date. The house was immaculate as and up to date. We usually feel like we have to clean the dishes before we use them in most rentals, but Heron Cottage was so well maintained that we didn’t think twice about using the right of the shelf. « This house was amazing. Beautiful yard, amazing views, and located just far enough from town to have everything you need nearby and still feel a bit secluded. Bob had something cooking in the smoker which filled the yard with something delicious! Both he and Jean were a pleasure to meet and chat with a bit. All in all a great trip and awesome property! »

« Five stars is not enough to rate how kind and generous our hosts were to us. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and it was clean throughout. Communication was excellent, describing every detail on how to operate lights, locks, hot tub, and thermostat. We enjoyed great views and walks. Fresh eggs were wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the cottage for a secluded getaway. Thank you George and Rebecca! »

« A little small but it was okay since we mainly just slept here. There was enough beds for everyone including extra thick mattress for another person to sleep on if needed. The owners do live on property but they gave us our privacy. Any interactions we had with them were very friendly. Remote location with nice views but close enough to town. And a lot of extra amenities and little freebies. Made us feel very welcome!!! »

« Stayed to visit family in the area. Very easy access to area roads, groceries, fuel, restaurants. The "theme" for the rental was an extra bonus because my spouse rebuilds cars - so we enjoyed that as well. It was the perfect place. »
