Like all of our rooms at Lookout Mountain Inn, the Hiwassee Room is a cozy mountain retreat surrounded by peaceful gardens and old pines. Guests love its historic charm, premium king bedding, and electric fireplace—an inviting spot to unwind after exploring Lookout Mountain. Enjoy access to the covered hot tub, seasonal pool, fire pit, and complimentary breakfast.



The Space:

Inside, you’ll find a private bath with our Enchanted Forest toiletries and convenient in-room amenities including a mini fridge, microwave, TV, WiFi, and a single-serve coffee maker. Compact and comfortable, this room offers a simple, restful base for exploring Lookout Mountain and Chattanooga.



BREAKFAST

Breakfast for all guests listed on the reservation is provided in our main house gathering room between 8-10 AM daily. Additional guests can be added for a fee.

Guest Access:

You’ll have your cottage all to yourself during your stay. Lookout Mountain Inn is a 2-acre property in the heart of Lookout Mountain. Guests have access to the grounds, as well as shared gazebo, community fire pit, hot tub and swimming pool (seasonal). Please be respectful of other guests during your stay.

Getting Around:

To make the most of your stay, we recommend a car to get around. Each of our cottages can accommodate a car in either shared parking lot or private driveway.



UBER and Lyft are available throughout the Chattanooga area, in addition to a number of local taxi services. Please note that availability may be extremely limited during peak times.



The city of Chattanooga offers reasonably priced parking on the street and in several public parking lots.



A free electric shuttle bus runs between the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the Tennessee Aquarium with stops at every block. The buses run every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 10 pm, Saturday from 9:30 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm. Bus schedules may vary, please consult the Chattanooga Area Regional Transit Authority website for the most up to date schedules.



Bike Chattanooga offers bike share rentals at 42 self-service kiosk locations all around downtown Chattanooga. With over 300 bicycles and 50 e-bikes this is a great way to explore the city. Visit Bike Chattanooga’s website to learn more.

DEPOSITS

Guests under 21, as well as guests who live within the Greater Chattanooga area, will be asked to provide a fully refundable $200 deposit after booking is confirmed. We kindly ask that you review our no-party and no-unregistered-guest policy so your stay goes smoothly and your deposit is returned without any issues.



NO SMOKING

Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are prohibited inside all Timberroot properties. Refer to the rental agreement for details on these policies and any related fees.



PESTS

All Timberroot Properties are nature based and professionally treated, but nature sometimes wanders in. If you notice any of these uninvited guests, our team is just a call away. The presence of pests does not constitute grounds for a refund.
