  • Beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath condo on the 2nd floor featuring over 1200 sq. with a beach theme. This unit was recently remodeled with new paint, new floors, appliances and granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. New furniture throughout. Master bedroom is spacious with a comfortable king size bed and en suite with a large tv. Guest bedroom features 2 queen beds with blackout drapes to ensure a wonderful nights rest.

    After a day at the beach, you can unwind in the den or our living room, which overlooks the pool with a beautiful garden view of the property with palm trees. This unit has it's own private balcony with shared amenities of the complex which include heated pool, shuffleboard, tennis courts and white sandy beach. Beach chairs are available free of charge for our guests. You will want to make this your home away from home every year!

We were there for a wedding at Zota and were much happier at Sand Cay than Zota. My Mom and I had a lovely visit.

Great girls weekend getaway!

My daughter and two teenage granddaughters really enjoyed the accommodations. Everything we needed was there, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc. it was nice not to have to pack our own There is plenty to do in the area and many places to eat, drink and watch beautiful sunsets. Would definitely stay again.

Great Girls Getaway

The unit had nice large rooms with convenient beach access with chairs and no hassle of public beach access and crowded beaches. Nearby shops and dining in both Long Boat Key and downtown Sarasota. Would highly recommend!

Getaway to Longboat Key

The condo was in a great location, right on the beach. It had all of the amenities that we needed. Chaise lounges are on the beach, which was convenient. The property is clean and well kept. Our condo could use some new umbrellas, but other than that we were completely satisfied and would stay in that room again.

Our Fourth Stay and There will be more

We love this condo! We have actually stayed in unit 211 twice now, and it is perfect for a multigenerational family. We had our son, his wife and our (almost) three year old grandson. We all hadd a great time - the beach, the pool, shuffleboard and the convenience of being close to Sarasota. We'll definitely be back!

The bedrooms had comfortable beds and good amenities. The only drawback was the layout of the kitchen area which was cut up and small whereas another family member stayed at another condo on the same floor that had an open layout that felt more spacious and comfortable.

Longboat and the adjacent islands have good dining options and the Mote Aquarium is a must see. Very family friendly overall. My only concern, and it's a slight one, is that the mattresses were too soft for us. Other than that the location, people, in fact everything, was terrific.

I’ve never stayed in any rental that had better provisions. It’s really hard to think through all the little things you will need and without exception when we needed something it was already there....dish soap, kitchen towels, a wine cork, trash bags, plastic cutlery, shower gel...that’s just the things we needed and forgot to bring along. The room was very clean and the beach provisions were great also. There were even some toys for my grandkids to play with in the closet.

Terrific Condo and Location

Our accommodations on beautiful Longboat Key were most enjoyable. Our unit was spacious, updated, and very comfortable for our family of four adults. The small terrace was a lovely addition to the living space.The location of the condo complex right on the beach was probably the highlight of our stay as well as having access to a community laundry facility, tennis court and racquets, and the pool. The complex also provided luggage carts and elevators which was convenient for the units on the 2nd and 3rd floors. On our very last day we encountered some drainage problems and the air conditioning stopped working. We communicated the issues to the office staff and within one hour maintenance help arrived at the unit to fix the issues. It was tremendously helpful to have the office staff available every day to help the guests. We would like to come again!

Nice getaway and location

Been to Longboat Key numerous times. First time staying at Sand Cay though I have seen it for years. Very clean. Good location. Unit is good sized and laid out well. Only negative is that check in starts at 3 and the office closes at 4. They do have a spot for late arrivals and you can get in, but I don’t recall before nag told the office was only open till 4 and we got there exactly at 4. Staff on property were all pleasant.

This was one less thing I had to bring on the trip. I will certainly stay at this resort again.

Heather at office was GREAT, super accommodating. We experienced a door lock that was nearly inoperable and had to be repaired during our stay, 3 remotes that had no batteries in them, construction in unit under us that started each morning and was loud and unexpected, our water was shut off during making lunch without notice. When I asked the office about it, I was told "sorry" We had to make other lunch plans. Sofa in media room extremely uncomfortable, several slats of vertical blinds missing in living room. Positives - unit was quiet (when construction stopped), nice stroll to the beach. Nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas available. Bed in Master extremely comfortable.
