2/10 Horrible

NOT safe or secure
From our arrival in the alley in which the entrance is located, bad vibes started from the beginning. There was a trash bin outside the door and trash lying next to it. Finding the key was simple and as communicated by the property manager.
Once we opened the door, the impressions of the property got worse - we were in what looked like a junky industrial vestibule and were facing another door that we could not access. To the right was a narrow, steep staircase up which it was very hard to carry regular size suitcases. After going up the stairs, we found ourself in the courtyard pictured on the property listing, however, it did not look nearly as nice.
Getting into the apartment from the courtyard was accomplished through some clunky locks that do not look very secure. One of the doors to a dead end hallway was not even locked.
Once inside the living room area we were greeting by a flickering light in the kitchen. After a short inspection of the property that included seeing the closet with the bed, a bowl of what appeared to be dried up cat food (the canned variety), and the bedroom across the courtyard behind a glass door with the same clunky locks. About the only thing that looked the same as the photos were the two bathrooms.
After realizing that wherever the downstairs door inside the entrance led had free access to the courtyard because there is no way to secure the entrance to the stairs, we decided not to stay and immediately booked a hotel for the rest of our stay in London.
All of our communications were dealt with by the property manager - pass the Keys. We requested a refund and were told no.
This property needs some work before people should stay there.
