Located in lovely South London, this apartment is just a short distance from the river and the historic heart of the city. While Kennington station is the closest, we recommend walking to Vauxhall and crossing the bridge to Millbank for a scenic experience. The embankment offers a peaceful walk along the river, surrounded by beautiful buildings that showcase the city’s rich history.

If you’d rather relax, hop on a bus just outside the flat, and you'll be in Westminster in about 15 minutes. Alternatively, take a short 10-minute bus ride to Waterloo, where you can explore the vibrant Southbank. In the summer, it's a lively area with street food markets, craft fairs, and street performers. And, for a spectacular panoramic view of London, hop on the London Eye!

Kennington is also famous for its fantastic pubs. When you book your stay, I'll share my top recommendations for dining and drinking spots in the area.

Location: The neighborhood is shockingly quiet at all hours of day and night (we slept with open windows with no disturbances). It was a fifteen minute walk to the Tube, with other necessities en route (pubs, cafes, small food stores, etc.). Good access via Tube to tourist destinations. Property: The flat is in an unimpressive-looking building complex, but the inside has been completely renovated and updated. Entry to this flat is directly from outside ground level; there is no inner hallway connecting flats. Two of the bedrooms are too small for two adults as advertised. The property description is mostly accurate, except there is no air conditioning. We visited in July, and we found that opening windows was largely sufficient to cool the unit. HOWEVER, not all windows opened! The owner's response to our request for maintenance was, "That is why fans are provided in each bedroom." One bedroom with a non-functioning window was uninhabitable due to the heat, so one of our family slept in the living room. Management: The property was very clean upon arrival. The management company was easily contacted by phone. The key pickup process (go to a nearby store and give them a code to get the key) was delayed because of a problem with the code, but management answered the phone and solved the problem quickly. They only provide one key, which is somewhat inconvenient for a big group. Overall, we highly recommend this property, particularly if the windows get repaired.
