Solid wood floors set off bold and cheery artworks, while dreamy hues of tangerine and terracotta lend a distinctly Eastern air. So sprawl on the low-slung Japanese bed, or dash outside and find the hubbub of happy shoppers, sippers and diners.


Like Notting Hill itself, your hostess seldom stops. She jets around Europe frequently, and this pad – which once belonged to her son – is her pretty pied-a-terre.


Up on the third floor, you’ll leave the bustle behind by the time you squish into this home’s dark sofa. Eye the orange accents and graceful white walls, or set about refreshing yourself in the handy kitchen.
