« Really well decorated and maintained property. Christmas tree and hamper a lovely seasonal touch. Very accommodatimg host who agreed to a later check out time without additional charge. Only issues were some noise from neighbours upstairs (which is often the case in houses converted into flats) and whilst the flat was generally very clean some vacuuming had been missed when it had last been cleaned. »

« Beautiful, comfortable property in a great, secluded location at the bottom of a valley. Everything we needed was there, and the hosts were waiting with the keys to give us the tour. Dog friendly, but be aware that the garden is not fully fenced off from the fields and sheep roam through it regularly. I can see how the track to the house could be challenging in winter, but it was no problem in a rear-wheel drive coupe in summer, even in the rain. »

« The cottage was very quiet and remote yet the road is no problem at all. It has a stunning view and there’s a walk route where you can explore nearby villages and farm. The cottage owner was friendly and accommodating. She prepared freshly baked scones, milk, coffee, tea, sugar ready on our arrival. She checked on us as well twice to make sure we’re okay. « The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available. »
