« Host Karen was friendly and helpful. The place is set in a peaceful and beautiful location. I stayed for 9 days due to working in and around the location and I enjoyed it . Would not hesitate to go back. Fantastic views ,nice walks and a really comfy and tidy apartment »

« Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area. »

« The room was clean and well presented in a pretty idyllic location. Quite and not very looked. Local pud was within a 10 minute walk and they served great food. The pud overlooked a river and in the summer months there seating available to be able to sit along side the river. We were provided with tea, coffee and biscuits. « I had been to the Black Lion three years before visiting the area my kin folks left in 1838 to come to Ohio. The accommodations and the meals were great. We went to the Welsh Library in Aberystwyth and hit the mother load of information of our ancestors in Lampter and Betws Bledrws. »

« I had a really nice stay at this guesthouse. It is kind of old-fashioned, but not rundown. A lot of decorations reminiscent of Carmarthen's past as well as of the place itself. A place you could maybe have found the same 30 or 40 years ago and well-maintained eversince. I really loved the mood. Also, the owners are really super nice, kind and welcoming.
