    This air-cond Villa is situated on a dramatic red volcanic coastline of Lipari, and offers stunning views of the lying below sea and of the north coast of Sicily. Sq. meters 90, plus sq.mt 90covered patios, garden and swimming-pool.
    The magnificient view and the total tranquillity that you can experience al Villalabruni makes this lovely villa truly special.Situated on the Island of Lipari,atop a hilloverlooking the sea,the villa is immersed among typical Mediteranean vegetation and protected by tow Hills of volcanic rocks that slope gently down towards the sea.

    A narrow footpath,50 metres away from home, has been created between the two hill from wind and water erosion (Eolo-the Greek God)and this leads to an inviting rocky and sandy beach(valle Muria-with its red,yellows,purple and white rocks) where you can find refreshment,sun shades and sun-loungers.

    Just a few minutes drive and you can reach,from home, the main town of the islans with the characteristic port.

    Enjoy a pleasant evening at one of the various restaurants and bar.
    The spacious terraces wich run along two sides of the villa has been recently restaured revealing the traditional style of this area.

    The benches in the masonry of the terraces are covered with handmade pottery, with arabesque motifs, in memory of Arab domination on the island.
    The rooms are tastefully furnished while respecting the semplicity that is typical of the home the Island.

    Though there are two houses behind the villa,total privacy can be enjoied on the terrace,on the pool and garden.All the bedroom have air-conditioning and lead directly on the terrace.
    Distance from the main town and port Km 3.5.A car is recommended.
    Fully-equipped kitchen. An ideal place to sit, eat and relax, especially to watch sailing boats and luxurious yachts from the patio, and also the sunset that turns the volcanic stones from yellow in deep red! The sun is on the pool from morning until sunset.
    From May 2011 vacation is avaiable a CELESTRON 70mm telescope:perfect for observing scenic views of boats and yachts in the bay,the norther coast of Sicily,,and may also be used for astronomical observing of stars and milky-way from the first floor terrace at night.AMAZING!

This stunning home and island took our breath away ❤️

It is hard to put into words how we feel about our stay at Casa Bruni on Lipari. We ended our holiday with two nights on Sicily and almost wished we hadn’t! Lipari is a more stunning island, not overrun or over-developed, yet with a bustling town, loads of amazing restaurants, kind people who go out of their way for you and a whole mix appearing everyday in the harbour, from those on super yachts to locals taking tourists out on unforgettable trips. The geography of the Aeolians is stunning and a boat trip highly recommended. We went with a few others who all wanted to chat and tell us about the islands. The day we arrived was unexpectedly windy and we had a delayed ferry but still the housekeeper, Guisippine, waited for us and saw us safely to cage house. It is spotless. There are wonderful, plentiful cooking items in the kitchen and useful condiments. All of our rooms were beautiful and tastefully furnished and the terrace and it’s views of the sea and Sicily are something to behold. If I could still be back at the house watching the boats come and go, without a care in the world, I would be! We took a small pair of binoculars and talked about how the view was always changing whilst our children aged 9. 12 and 15 played in the pool. Small touches like sturdy sun loungers were very appreciated. Whilst difficult to drag ourselves away, the walk to the beach is so close we went most days enjoying the exercise up and down. We will never forget this holiday. Thank you xxx

Disappointing Service

There are stunning views from the villa. Sadly this did not translate into a stunning holiday. The main problem was the unresponsive and rude housekeeper. We'd not been told where to put the rubbish. In some villas we've stayed the housekeeper would move this periodically or at the end of the stay. We left 1 bag of rubbish / 2 small bags of plastic/glass in strong bags, tied tightly so no ants etc could get in. We left the villa in a tidy & clean manner. So we were astonished when the day after we left the cleaner sent us a very rude message berating us “I bet you don’t leave rubbish at home like you did.” We were always friendly to her. We regularly go on premium villa holidays and never been treated so rudely - and if she was able to send such a rude message why could she not answer the 3 other polite questions we asked her that went unanswered, eg the sink not draining/no loo rolls Other housekeeping issues: no pool towels were left out, coffee machine dirty & wrong pods, & only ½ full loo rolls (which we had to buy) The owner never apologised on the cleaner’s behalf and told us to read the reviews as everybody says she is good The villa is down a v steep hill and not within walking distance to restaurants. Car essential as taxis are expensive (€30 for a 1 mile taxi ride). On Saturday afternoon a party boat moored up in the coast below playing very loud music for 6 hrs. Internet passable, WIFI range poor. Otherwise, great pool, outdoor areas & view

A fabulous family villa, with stunning views, and great pool on the beautiful island of Lipari.

This is the perfect family villa with everything you could wish for. The pool is fabulous and gets the sun all day, the patio area above the pool has two eating spots with absolutely lovely views of the bay below. The view is constantly changing with boats coming and going to the little beach bar. You can't hear the boats at they are too far away, so sitting outside is totally peaceful and quiet. Our Host, Fransesco, has been fantastic. He was willing and able to give us any advise we asked for before we left home. He even kindly booked our transfers from Catania airport to Milazzo Port where you get the hydrofoil to the island. He arranged for the housekeeper to meet us at the harbour and to take us to the Villa and even booked us a fantastic restaurant for our first night on the island. He could not have been more helpful. The Villa itself is definitely a lovely home as opposed to an investment property. Everything is how we like it. Lots of chunky white china, large wine glasses (!), big towels, comfy bed, proper sun loungers by the pool. We could not fault it. On the island there are plenty of things to do and it is advisable to hire a car otherwise you are reliant on taxis. We visited the one and only vineyard, Tenuta di Castellaro which was fabulous, hired a boat and drove ourselves, (no licence required but experience recommended), around some of the islands and had lunch at a pizza bar on one of the beaches on Volcano. We went to town every morning to buy fresh bread and walked around the ancient cobbled streets before the world woke up and the tourist boats arrived for the day. In the evenings we went out to different restaurants for dinner, some in town and some overlooking the sea. On the way to where ever we were going we always had to stop to admire the sunsets which are out of this world...... I can highly recommend this villa, it is everything you want , in a lovely spot and the owner is brilliant if you need any help with your holiday.

SENTIRSI A CASA

Arrivare a Lipari dalla Valle d'Aosta non è proprio agevole, ma la casa, il mare e la vista ci hanno ampiamente ripagato. Quando arrivate a casa LaBruni quella che respirate è un'atmosfera di attesa. Sì aspetta proprio Voi. Le luci (siamo arrivati verso le 21h.) accese e soffuse, i letti preparati, l'allegra tovaglia a pois con le lanterne pronte ad essere illuminate. Avrete la sensazione benché non l'abbiate mai vista, del ritorno in un luogo familiare che Vi accoglie per proteggerVi. Il mattino davanti alla vostra finestra la vista del mare…no questa emozione va provata non descritta. Unico suggerimento non pensate, come può sembrare, di essere lontani dal mare perché con una discesa di 7 minuti e una salita di 10' siete nella spiaggia più bella dell'isola (le abbiamo provate tutte) fornita anche di un simpatico e originale bar con piatti appetitosi e stuzzicanti. In casa c'è tutto e tutto è curato e pensato. Avrete anche il piacere di respirare questa casa guardando la scelta dei colori, i particolari architettonici, la scelta dei libri e degli oggetti che riflettono un amore al bello. Per chi è particolarmente pigro la terrazza e la piscina sono manna dal cielo. Per ogni problema i custodi sono sempre disponibili con grande discrezione. Buona vacanza!!

Beautiful home away from home

Highly recommend this property in Lipari. Has everything you need to feel at home, relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Not far from a nice beach and also from the city centre although a mean of transportation is preferable. A swim in the pool is the perfect way to start the day! The house is fully equipped with wifi, washing machine, tv although we never used it..so much better to dine outside and admire the landscape! A truly beautiful holiday un a beautiful house!

A beautiful villa with an overwhelming view

We travel a lot, and stay mostly in a rented house. So we can compare this villa to others pretty well. We do love this villa particularly. It is the one where we said we do want to come back as soon as possible. The villa is situated on a hillside with of a number of other houses. From the 3 terraces and the poolside you have a beautiful view into a bay to the sea. At the left side of the bay is a hill. You can see only a single building on top of it. If one follows the little street up this hill (10 min by foot, 1 min by car), you will have a beautiful view down to the town of Lipari, to the western part of the island, and to other islands up to Stromboli. At the right side of the bay are hills with a few other houses. A canyon leads down to a beach, and from the villa you can usually see sailboats anchored there. At the horizon you see the coastline of Sicilia, particularly beautiful at night when you see the lights over there. The villa does not stand isolated, but you will see the neighbors to the right - which are very friendly - only from the upper terrace. On the lower 2 terraces and the pool you have the impression that you are alone on this hillside. Actually, the villa is situated so quietly, that the loudest sound in the morning is usually the crowing of some cocks and the cackle of chicken. At night it is so silent that the loudest sound is the hoot of a screech owl. Although the rooms in the villa are not very spacious, this is in no way a disadvantage since you will anyway be most of the time on one of the 3 spacious terraces or at the poolside. Actually, you have practically all facilities that you have at your home. The villa is furnished extraordinarily tastefully, and we immediately felt as if this would be our home that we furnished by ourselves. In many other houses that we rented, the "good pieces" were taken away and closed up by the owners, but here you feel that you are welcome to enjoy the villa like the owners do. To the owners: Francesco was extremely helpful to prepare our stay. He even bought for us the ferry tickets and met us at the ferry to give them to us, arranged that we were guided from the port to the house, gave great tips for restaurants and places to visit, and even left for us (since we arrived Saturday late night) a dinner including Sicilian wine. The villa and the Aeolian islands are beautiful, Francesco is extremely friendly and helpful, we had a wonderful holiday, and we can really recommend to book it!

Dream House with Sea View

Here we spent the most wonderful week of vacation of our lives. The house is furnished with much love and good taste. The unregenerate location, the view and the tranquility rarely found. Thanks to Francesco, the owner of the house for his great tips and his helpfulness. We can highly recommend this house. We will come back next year again for sure. Look no further, his is paradise

This is an amazing house in probably the best location of the island. It's far enough from town to avoid the hectic life and not so close to the main road so you have quiteness and solitude and perfect views. The terraces are huge and comfy, the house itself is spotless and has everything you need for a stay. I would really recommend this villa to anyone, from couples to a family.

An Amazing Villa for beautiful holidays !

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine dans cette magnifique Villa. Rien ne manque, les chambres sont spacieuses, les draps sont propres, les salles de bains sont grandes et la cuisine est parfaite. Nous étions 4 personnes et nous avons tous appréciés cet instant magique. Le temps semble s'arrêter lorsque vous êtes au bord de la piscine ou sur le transat. Le cadre est magnifique, le calme est au rendez-vous. Bref, un conseil vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. A recommander bien entendu!

A fantastic villa with an amazing view

We have just come back from this beautiful villa, where we probably had our best holiday ever!! It is so peaceful, there is a lot of wildlife, birds of prey, geckos and various other birds that like to entertain. The house is beautiful, one of the nicest villas we have ever stayed in. What you see is what you get. The house was beautiful and clean, it is clearly loved by Francesco & Brunella. The pool was lovely, and I swam for a least an hour every day. It is perfectly located, only 5 mins away from town, which is just great! We didn't see much of the island, as we had already traveled down from Napoli, and we really just wanted to relax, we were heading up to the Amalfi coast on our way home too. So it was just perfect. The housekeeper & her husband were lovely people, and we were given fresh vegetables from their garden. Francesco was so helpful, we landed by helicopter, and he even arranged for us to be collected from where we landed! The flight was amazing, and we flew over Stromboli, which I would highly recommend. He also told us about the swallows that dive over the pool most days, and about the stars, one night we had the most incredible view of the stars. He also helped us organize a hire car from the guy who collected us. Elisabeth, who is a good friend of Francesco's cooked us an amazing meal on the night we arrived, and bought us some local wines to try, we invited her to spend the evening & eat with us. We ate at the most incredible fish restaurant Filippino almost every day of our 2 week stay, the food was amazing, it is now our favorite restaurant in the world! We took our ipods, but didn't listen to them once, you don't need music in such a wonderful place, we just listened to the sounds of nature and spent every evening on the main terrace, chatting and trying all the lovely wines. If you like good wine & amazing food then this is the place to go! Francesco, we are home now, but are still so very relaxed! :) Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Our family decided to get together and after many years have a family holiday. This meant a wide age group from granny to grandchildren each with different holiday expectations. We had a wonderful time in Villa la Bruni The layout is very spacious, well laid out and very comfortable which allows each person to relax if they particularly want to rest. It has a fantastic swimming pool and garden for the more energetic. All is brought together by two large tables placed at each end of the covered porch which runs the whole length of the house. These have multple uses, great dinners, long chats, various games. The kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed. We were pampered by Giuseppina who was determined to educate our northern palates by providing fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden plus capers plus tuna fish ..... We didn't want to leave! The island is amazing It is small but there are lot's of places of interest to visit The trip up to the top of Vulcano is an experience. Then there is Stromboli Alicudi e Filicudi. Nearer "home" there is a pebble beach just under the Villa, the water is crystal clear and calm. the way up is a little steep but once you have been up and down a couple of times you don't have to stop for a rest. There are lovely golden evening walks up to what was the crater of a volcano,now filled with garden plots. We will certainly be coming back

Family of four enjoyed this beautiful villa

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this villa. It exceeded our expectations for a quiet Italian get-away. If you enjoy exercise, the hike to the beach is invigorating. The pool provided great entertainment for our young boys. Rent a very small car or scooters to get around this charming little island - the roads are narrow!
