The Lima tribe added one level to this pyramid every 20 years. Pyramids here are not the pointed topped kind as seen in Egypt, but are flat topped.
The beautiful Basilica Cathedral of Lima sits in the heart of Lima's historical area. It's one of the main structures dominating the Plaza de Armas. Construction began in 1539 and the church took over 100 years to complete. It's open to the public and has a gorgeous, large interior. Anyone visiting Lima should definitely stop by for a visit! #UrbanJungle
