Everything in the hotel is falling apart, the breakfast bars is an absolute joke, didnât feel real safe. Pretty sure my van was gonna get broken into. 10 out of 10 would not stay there!
The tub still had soap residue in it and had not been cleaned. The carpets had stains and tears everywhere. The bathroom ceiling looks like it has mold growing on it grgrowinggron it.
We booked several rooms at the Trails End Motel in Lewistown, for our Amish clients. We frequently assist them with travel arrangements across the country and typically rely on online reviews and photos. Unfortunately, this experience was the worst feedback weâve ever received.
Our clients found the motel to be extremely disappointing. There were serious sanitation concerns, The conditions were so poor that they decided not to stay at all.
What made things worse was discovering that many of the glowing reviews online appeared to be written by the same person, all with the same name. This felt intentionally misleading and untrustworthy.
Ultimately, our clients decided to leave and found a much better alternative down the road at the B & B Motel. It was a little more expensive, but the difference in quality was like night and day.
We hope this review helps others avoid the same disappointment. Trails End might look fine in photos, but in our experience, it was anything but.
Paper-thin walls and TV's blaring all night. Room tiny (14 X 12), no chair -- no room for a chair. greeted by barking American Bull Terrier just outside our door. Road noise.
It was clean, that's the only positive.
Iâd booked this room a couple weeks before our stay. The town was super busy with it being grad weekend and a softball tournament in town as well. When we got there they had checked someone else into our room. There was no availability at that hotel or any other hotel in town. The clerk was super apologetic, but it sucked. We ended up having to sleep in our car for the night. Also the check-in office smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke. I didnât get the chance to see a room, but based on the cleanliness of the office, I likely wouldnât have been very impressed.
This place was so bad that we left. Filth everywhere from the office to the yard to the bathtub. The manager had no clue. This property should be delisted. We didn't get reimbursed due to Expedia policy of non-payment. If this doesn't change your mind, just keep on scrolling.
The room odor was an overpowering air freshener odor. It was so strong I could taste it. I had to sleep with the window open all night. There was a mostly used roll of toilet paper under the corner of the bed. The room was small and cramped.
