A Recreation Station for your Leavenworth Vacation

Welcome to Sonnenregen, which is the German word for sun shower. This wonderful condo is a perfect landing pad for adventures of all things Leavenworth! Tucked away in the Icicle Village, this fabulous 1 bedroom condo is an ideal venue to call home during your stay in our beautiful Bavarian village.

Walking distance to the new Leavenworth Adventure Park, adjacent to the Icicle Junction mini golf course and at the mouth of the Icicle Valley which boasts supreme hiking, climbing, XC skiing, and golfing, you will find no shortage of entertainment here! If relaxing in the sun or burning off some energy sounds good, head on over to the community pool/whirlpool area and enjoy some time in the water. For those not wanting to skip their daily workout routine, there is a fitness center available too!

Oh and did we mention that just a short walk away lies the bustling downtown area overflowing with shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms? This home has everything you could want in a getaway location, all the convenience of being close to downtown and the quiet and privacy of staying out of downtown.

Looking to spend a night in? Pour yourself a choice beverage and get cozy on the plush sofa, turn on the fireplace, and open that book you finally have time for. You’ll find everything you need to whip up an appetizing entree in the fully stocked kitchen featuring granite countertops and rich wooden cabinetry, but if you’re not in the mood to cook just walk across the grounds to JJ Hills Restaurant or head over to the iconic drive-in restaurant HeidleBurger.

Beyond the open-concept kitchen and living areas you’ll find a full bathroom complete with a double vanity and antique bronze fixtures reminding you of the quality of this lovely space. Next door is the master bedroom featuring a lush queen-sized bed and a luxurious jetted tub, all the makings of a romantic getaway! If pampering is what you desire, treat yourself to a spa day at Alpine Spa, also located on the property.

Whether you’re visiting Leavenworth for adventure, relaxation, or a little of both, we must congratulate you because you found the sweet spot by staying at Sonnenregen!

This condo is located in Icicle Village Resort but is not part of the Resort. Some of the amenities, such as the free buffet breakfast are NOT INCLUDED with this rental. You are welcome to still enjoy the buffet and will just need to pay for it.

If you are planning to visit during the winter or summer months, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. The weather can be unpredictable during these seasons and we hold firm to our cancellation policy.

Great location! The three of us stayed for two nights and it was the perfect base camp for exploring Leavenworth. It was clean and updated. The resort has two pools and a putting course on the property (had to pay for the putting course though) and it’s right across the street from the alpine slide (highly recommended- so fun). It’s about a 15-20 min walk into the main street with all the shops and restaurants - so we parked our car and walked everywhere. Would stay again

Good stay for hikers

Very nice VRBO located in a good area If you’re the type of hiker who likes to sleep in a real bed, and doesn’t mind commuting a short distance to the trailhead. Very well laid out and furnished. One of the few short term rentals we’ve stayed at that actually has a well appointed kitchen with sharp knives. Two people can comfortably cook in the kitchen at the same time. The bed was comfortable and the unit was reasonably quiet. Super clean throughout. The couch wasn’t the best for back support if you are like us and have minor back Issues that pop up now and then. The only real downside, and the reason for the four star review, is the unenforced reserved parking policy of the condo. This unit comes with one reserved parking space and somebody else chose to park in it for two of our three nights. We called and reported it both nights, but the rental company, while very polite and understanding were not able to resolve it. A minor inconvenience for us since there were plenty of unassigned parking spaces, but if you go here during the high season or a holiday, you may not have a place to park your car.
