Hyco Lake Glass Retreat + Hot Tub

Just an hour from RTP, this private lakefront retreat is designed around the view, with soaring ceilings and expansive glass walls overlooking Hyco Lake. Paddle from the private dock, relax in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit, and watch the sunset from the great room. Ideal for couples, families, friends, and peaceful getaways, with fast Wi-Fi and on-site EV charging.

The space
The main level includes two private queen bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a soaring glass-walled great room. Downstairs, guests have a separate TV lounge, third bathroom, and jetted tub.

Outside, enjoy the private hot tub, outdoor shower, fire pit, decks, landscaped grounds, and private dock. Two kayaks, two paddleboards, paddles, firewood, and propane for the grill.

Fast Wi-Fi and on-site EV charging make the home equally comfortable for a weekend escape or a quiet work-from-the-lake stay.

Guest access
Guests enjoy full, private access to the entire property. The home is built into a natural hillside. Guests must use exterior stairs to reach the main entrance, and the path from the house to the dock includes additional steps. The property may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Other things to note
The home is ideal for up to four guests and is best suited for couples, families, and friends seeking a peaceful retreat. Parties, events, commercial photography, and gatherings involving unregistered visitors are not permitted, and the property is pet-free.

Verizon and AT&T generally provide cell service, although coverage may vary near the water. Wi-Fi averages approximately 300 Mbps and supports streaming and remote work.

Two kayaks and two paddleboards are provided for registered guests. Life jackets must be worn while using the kayaks or paddleboards. Adult life jackets are provided for the kayaks; paddleboard users and children should bring properly fitted life jackets.

Firewood for the fire pit and propane for the grill are also included.

The private hot tub is regularly maintained and available year-round, subject to occasional maintenance or weather-related interruptions.

Neighborhood highlights
Hyco Lake is known for quiet shorelines, open water, and a relaxed pace. Nearby conveniences include the public boat ramp, Hyco Lake Marina, Buoy’s Bar & Grille, and Dollar General.

Guests can also explore Mayo Lake Disc Golf Course, the Animal Park at the Conservators Center, local wineries and breweries, or the shops and restaurants of Roxboro and Danville. Caesars Virginia and Virginia International Raceway are also within driving distance.

The setting offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful lake retreat with dining, supplies, and day-trip options nearby.

House Rules
• No smoking, vaping, pets, parties, or unregistered guests.
• Maximum 4 guests. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM.
• Supervise children near the lake, dock, fire pit, and hot tub.
• No jumping or diving from the dock, as water levels and depth can vary.
• No glass in the hot tub or near the water. Replace the hot tub cover after use.
• Use kayaks, paddleboards, dock, and lake at your own risk. Life jackets are recommended.
• Never leave the fire pit unattended, and fully extinguish it after use.
• Do not disable driveway cameras, locks, Wi-Fi, or other property equipment.
• Check-out is at 10:00 AM. Wash dishes and take out trash.
