The location of the loft was GREAT! We were able to explore by foot many locations ie. Shugs (right next door) and the the Mercantile/Scotsman (the mercantile has a window to Ben's workshop (!!!) and I got to touch the infamous blue truck!), the cute little park where the Laniers slid down thhe hill, the Scent Library and other familiar places. The Scent Library was one of my highlights. WHAT A COOL PLACE! to name a few. The Loft itself is fully equipped with a kitchen. The host even had coffee available for us to use int he Keurig. Hosts were very attentive and great!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room is quirky (think industrial loft with lots of imperfections and a slanted floor) but that is the essence of its charm. It is located on the second floor over local businesses with other loft apartments of he same type so there is some noise from below at times and from the other apartments, but nothing detrimental to a stay. This unit also faced a live railroad track that is about two to three blocks away, but the frequency of train traffic wasn't great and thus wasn't detrimental either. The loft is well-appointed with all the essentials for a single night or extended stay. We were here for three days and didn't have want for anything. There were complimentary waters in the refrigerator (which kept items nicely cold), plenty of seating with a table and chairs in the kitchen area and two chairs and a love seat in the bedroom area. The bed was squeaky with ingress/egress but was plenty comfortable for my wife and I. The location is nice for walking the downtown area. Most of the popular shops and restaurants are less than 5 minutes away by foot so this central location was ideal. It's also right across the road from the local Sheriff's Office for those who might be concerned about safety. ;-)Overall, we really enjoyed the unit and wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

Mercedes is such a cute room for your stay! They have everything you need if you want to get groceries or eat out every meal. The location has walkability to everything downtown. We loved our visit to Laurel!

Property was very nice & clean . Close to everything! Walking distance to most places! Loved the decorations in The “Mercedes” were Very nice,loved the wallpaper in the bathroom & the AC worked very well. We had a great time in Laurel!

Very Charming, Great Location

This apartment is just as pictured and the location couldn’t be better. I actually walked outside in the morning to see them filming “Home Town” about four doors down. It was surreal. You have everything you need for a great stay. The kitchen and bathroom are very well appointed. I highly recommend it.

Delightfulstay

We were on our way to Bay Saint Louis to visit friends and stayed just one night to break up the long drive. We woke up that morning to a delightful smell of a fabulous breakfast from the restaurant downstairs. Laurel is full of kind, delightful and friendly people. We love Laurel.

The linen were dirty. The coverlet had coffee stains and the edge at the head of the bed was FILTHY and had human hair all over it. I am an infection control nurse so you know I was less than happy with those findings.

Great Location

The facility was overall excellent. The extras were wonderful. The only issue was the slightly slanting floor which caused the bed to have a slight tilt down at the head. A bit of work on the floor or bed frame would resolve this quickly.

35th Anniversary trip

Great location, conveniently located within walking distance of the shops and museum. We enjoyed walking down the oak lined steeet admiring all the beautiful houses. Great restaurants and we enjoyed a concert at the 320. The room was beautifully decorated.

Quaint location in peaceful town.

The Mercedes is a really nicely appointed room with all necessary amenities. It was warm and comfortable feeling. It was a fun experience to stay in a building with as much history as this one has. The place was obviously redone recently and finished nicely. It had its quirky character with the sloped floors but the bed was comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We woke to the smell of bacon or sausage from the restaurant downstairs and after that we had to go down to eat. It, too, was very good and homey. We truly enjoyed the stay.

Just what we needed

The host was very helpful and fast to respond to any questions that we had. They left coffee, snacks, bottled water and ice in the freezer. The bed was very comfortable and the room was immaculate. The band next door plays until 11 on Saturday night but that was ok with us. We enjoyed the show from our room. It's located within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in downtown Laurel. The room was elegant without losing its rustic charm. dow Laur
