    Motorconchos (Moto-taxis): The most common and convenient way to travel short distances (e.g., beach runs or grocery trips). You can easily flag one at any corner. Fares range from about RD$ 50–200 (US$ 1–4), higher at night

    Tuk-tuks: Three-wheeled vehicles offering more stability and space than moto-taxis. Ideal for 2–3 passengers heading toward the beach or restaurants.

    Guaguas (Minibuses): Budget-friendly shared vans operate between Las Terrenas and nearby towns (El Limón, Sánchez, Samaná). Not commonly used along Calle 27 de Febrero, but easy to catch for intercity travel

    Scooters & ATVs: Popular rental options (scooters from US$15–20/day; ATVs US$35–45/day), offering freedom to explore beaches and nearby attractions

    Car Rentals / Taxis / Uber: A car allows flexibility—especially for visiting remote beaches like Playa Bonita or drives into Samaná. Uber and taxis are readily available but parking in the town center can be limited
