Cette maison entiĂšrement restaurĂ©e dans le pays Amish du comtĂ© de Lancaster est le refuge parfait des soucis de la vie. SituĂ© sur un acre le long des routes de campagne entourĂ©es de terres agricoles, vous pouvez profiter du porche arriĂšre ou de la terrasse avec foyer au bois. Notre chalet offre des commoditĂ©s modernes avec des touches de style vintage, comme de superbes planchers de bois franc d'origine, des poutres apparentes et une cheminĂ©e restaurĂ©e. Vous pouvez vous dĂ©tendre dans la maison calme et confortable avec une cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e, y compris une cuisiniĂšre, un four, un four micro-ondes, un grand rĂ©frigĂ©rateur, des plats de cuisson et des casseroles et poĂȘles, ou conduire Ă  quelques minutes de nombreuses attractions et restaurants.

Nous sommes à proximité des théùtres Sight and Sound, American Music Theatre, Strasburg Rail Road, Dutch Wonderland, Rockvale et Tanger Outlets, et des marchés et galeries de Lancaster City. Nous sommes à proximité du village d'Intercourse, du village de Kitchen Kettle et de nombreuses autres attractions du pays Amish.

La charmante maison comprend deux chambres avec lits queen, une salle de bain et une laveuse et une sécheuse. Dans le coin salon à l'étage, il y a un lit gigogne. Short vacation

This is a beautiful property. It was clean and so charming. We loved our stay here. We loved the old farmhouse feel of the property and all the antique furnishings. The hosts were thoughtful and quick to respond to questions. We usually take this trip annually and hope to stay here again.

Loved It!

This was our 3rd stay in this lovely home. The location could not be nicer. It is so quiet & peaceful. We enjoyed watching the Amish farmer next door plant tobacco and the ongoing horse & buggy traffic. The house is one of the best stocked houses we have ever stayed in. John & Deb have thought of everything to make it feel just like home, right down to the fresh baked cookies waiting on the kitchen table. There is not a thing I would change about this house. Thank you John & Deb! We can't wait to stay with you again! :)

A gem surrounded by farmland

We loved our stay here. The home is on a quiet road away from the bustle of the tourist areas, yet just a short drive to all the major attractions. It is surrounded by farmland and the views are so peaceful. We loved seeing the sunrises and sunsets. The home has been lovingly restored, keeping the historic feel alive with exposed brick and beams and furnishings. We loved the refinished wide plank floors and even the slight floor slant in the master bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with supplies. We didn’t get a chance to sit around the fire pit as it was raining one day and the other days were a little windy and chilly, but John and Deb supply all you need to start a fire in the pit. We were welcomed with homemade cookies which was such a nice touch (they were delicious!). The home was very clean, very comfortable, and well cared for. If you want to experience all Lancaster has to offer, but also want to relax in a peaceful setting, this home checks that box. We will be back!

Amish Country Relaxation

This is the 3rd time my husband and I have stayed at this farmhouse. It's in the perfect spot if you would like to immerse yourself in an Amish area. The farmhouse is not in the tourist area but very close by. We travel from CT to the south occasionally and this is the perfect place for us to take a break from a long ride and do a little shopping!

Mom’s Getaway Perfection

We were three tired moms looking for some quiet and a place to catch up with each other and this home was so spotlessly clean, charming, and peaceful that we were able to recharge and head back to our homes ready to face our sweet families. So thankful for the love that was put into restoring this amazing treasure of a spot! So close to so many good places too but off the beaten path. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful and clean

The house has been beautifully restored. The owners have been able to keep so much charm, while adding modern touches. The house was also VERY clean. Peaceful and Relaxing Getaway

Charming cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay. This was our second stay. Just as good as the first. We always enjoy sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful views and sunsets. Look forward to returning. One of our most favorite places to stay when we are in the area.

Amazing House in the Middle of Amish Country!

Our visit to Lancaster County, PA was better than we anticipated because of the great house that we stayed in. We visit the area 1-2X each year to see Biblical Musicals at Sight & Sound, other local attractions and to immerse ourselves in the Amish culture as much as possible for us "English". By far, this visit was our best due to this terrific, completely restored older house that had everything we needed with very comfortable furnishings and very cool period decorations. From the first night of rocking on the glider and watching horse-drawn buggies go by, to driving past the one-room Amish schoolhouse just up the road. We know that we will be staying here at our next trip to Lancaster! Thank you! Tony & Lisa

Lancaster Getaway

My husband and I couldn’t i’ve been happier with this day at this beautiful cottage. It was the perfect getaway for us with lovely simplicity in our busy lives. Everything was seamless as far as the process during our stay, the property was beautifully located, the cottage just wonderful inside and out, and I am grateful for having had the time and opportunity to stay here.

Modern 1700s

Our stay was absolutely lovely! The only downfall was the water from the sinks; the hot water took some time to warm up but when it did it was scalding hot. Other than that the home is beautifully renovated, pretty spacious and comfortable and even super quiet. It felt home-y without it being our home, I hope to come back here in the future.

Authentic cottage in the country

For anyone looking for an authentic 1700 cottage stay in Amish country - you have found your location! Our stay was perfection from the moment we booked. Our host was accommodating above compare. He gave us local recommendations, left us homemade cookies to enjoy and even let us check in a bit early before our tickets for Sight and Sound theatre which was close by. We took another couple with us and both couples had appropriate privacy for sleeping, even with the authentic plank floors upstairs. The property is not ‘fancy’ but, instead, cozy and authentic. For those coming from ‘city’ living, just keep in mind that you are truly in the country with regular country sounds and smells. We can’t wait to plan our return trip for next year.
