Cette propriété spéciale est conçue de manière professionnelle dans le style Adirondack avec un mobilier moderne, des antiquités et des tapis kilim.
    Toute la surface habitable est idéalement située au 1er étage (la partie surélevée est uniquement pour le stockage).

    Situé à Lakeside, à la frontière de Union Pier, au cœur du lac Michigan Harbour Country, à seulement un pâté de maisons et demi de la spectaculaire plage privée du lac Michigan! Promenez-vous dans les restaurants et les magasins.

    Cette maison de vacances unique est recouverte de bois depuis les planchers et les murs jusqu'aux plafonds de la cathédrale avec un foyer au bois de pierre de 20 pieds de hauteur. Dînez dans le magnifique porche blindé et enveloppez-vous dans les terrasses!

    Les lits sont comme suit: un roi, une reine, des couchettes et deux lits jumeaux, tous recouverts de linge de marque sur des matelas haut de gamme. La cuisine est entièrement équipée et dispose d'un îlot de boucherie qui peut accueillir quatre personnes, des appareils en acier inoxydable, du parquet et un grand éclairage.

    La salle à manger peut accueillir huit personnes autour d'une table et de chaises. La cuisine, le salon et la salle à manger sont ouverts les uns aux autres pour divertir les familles. Détendez-vous avec la chaîne stéréo surround grâce à un lecteur DVD / CD.

    Les deux salles de bains ont importé de l'ardoise et une grande pression H20. Une nouvelle laveuse et sécheuse est également à votre disposition. Imaginez-vous en train de vous détendre dans votre oasis privée, flottant dans votre piscine privée chauffée ou bronzant à la plage!

A Beautiful Cabin... but, Needs Updated Description.

The cabin is nice. Beautiful wood finishes. Tasteful decorating. Ample space for entertaining. The fireplace is wonderful. Beds are comfy. The problem, though, is that the description is misleading/outdated and many updates/much attention needs to be placed on certain things. For the price, I was quite disappointed with the below: • Overall: The cabin is nice but it doesn't seem like the owners even want it rented. There are notes everywhere to "not use" this or to "remember to shut" this off or "don't use counters for cutting." Even things like the butcher block counters, were asked to not be cut on... and there were minimal cutting boards to use in place of them. It was off-putting and felt like we weren't trusted guests during our stay. • Bathrooms: The water pressure is quite low, in fact. In addition, the bathroom by the twin beds had a clogged drain and stained basin. It took nearly 6 hours to fully drain which was not pleasant with 8 guests. • Entertainment: Outdated or unusable. The surround sound wasn't hooked up / working properly, Netflix / Roku is inoperable (a group of 8 people well-versed in tech, couldn't get it to work), and cable is limited to basic. We had to plug our personal laptop into the HDMI to watch movies at night. • Privacy: The photos and description are misleading. When you pull up you see houses all around you. It is located in a sub-division of homes/rentals. You are within eye and earshot of multiple homes when in the backyard. The pool is, however, fenced off but because of this you unfortunately feel boxed in. This property, overall, is far less "PRIVATE" than described. • Communication: Our host was great communicating up to the rental was paid for and access code sent, but when we reached out to inquire about extending checkout (well over 24 hours in advance) she went radio silent. Note, we offered to pay for the extra time too, as we weren't expecting a free late checkout. • Check-In / Check-Out: Check in is at 4PM and Check out is 10AM. For a cabin specializing in large parties this is unusual / rushed. Even 3PM check in + 11am check out would be better. • Transportation: Note expect to stay at the cabin. If you want to go anywhere, there are minimal transportation options. For context, it was $14/person, round trip, to Four Winds Casino. That's the cheapest we found. For a group of 8 it was over $120 (with tip), to go to the closest casino.

The Lodge was great, beach was quiet although the walk was a little longer than anticipated. Proximity to New Buffalo and Union Pier was nice.

Awesome place to vacation at!!!

We had a great time at this home, we loved the pool and the backyard for making evening fires, had room upfront for playing some games, the home is soooo cozy, a short walk to a huge beach, we just loved it!!! The host is awesome too!!!

A great family gathering!

Pam was wonderful to us and went above when we needed extra help. The Cedar Lodge is a rustic retreat, nestled quietly in a neighborhood. The trees surrounding the Lodge create beautiful privacy fence, where you’re unaware of anyone near. The Lake is a bit of a hike with heavy beach needs, but only about 3 city blocks (we’re from Chicago). Pam has beach chairs at the beach, so no lugging those back and forth. The beach is private and perfect. The amount of people vary day to day, but still quite secluded. The lodge had everything we needed for cooking which we did quite a lot. Nancy deserves a big thank you from us for helping us too. She was tending to the lodge when we arrived and shared her knowledge of her area and helped us in a pinch a few days later. So much better doing VRBO with an owner than a company. Makes the experience way more personal and homey! Thank you Pam!

There were 11 of us so we filled the property, but there are plenty of gathering areas from the pool to the screened porch to the spacious yard. We hardly left except to go to the beach. Very enjoyable vacation.

Cozy cabin

The cabin is nice and comfortable with a nice layout. The pool is heated and wonderful, very private. The beach is further than advertised but we rented a golf cart and that was a great option for getting back and forth. Would recommend that if you have little ones. For the price, the cabin needs some TLC. There are notes all over that tell you not to use the blinds or a door because they are broken. The pullout couch was ancient and worn and did not pull out without a ton of effort. Also, the train tracks are nearby and on some days, the train went by quite often and was very loud with horn blasts.

AMAZING cabin - a must stay

I stayed at this stunning cabin with a few friends and we had an amazing stay. The house is BEAUTIFUL, perfectly decorated, cozy, and clean. The cabin offers everything you need and made our stay even better than we anticipated. We had such a good time here we only left the property to go to the beach :) The property manager was also great to work with and very responsive! We will definitely stay here again!

Simply awesome!

Booked the cottage with college friends to use as our base as we went back and forth to ND and ND games. Wish we could have just stayed here because it really felt like home away from home. The cottage was very well kept and had enough amenities for us to use with ease. Thank you to Pam, the owner, who was so accommodating and made our stay easy. We will definitely go back next year. Awesome weekend.

Quiet cabin in the woods but lots to do

Great quiet scenic location on a private wooded lot. Easily accommodated our party of 8. Very close, walking distance, to a clean private beach with beach chairs provided. Also spent hours in the heated pool at the cabin. This is close to fine dining, or if you prefer, burgers, pizza or bar food. Cabin was clean with everything provided for cooking etc. with a nice outdoor grill. Mattresses should be updated in our opinion, but that can be a personal thing. The place is expensive but you get what you pay for. We felt it was a good value. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Family reunion

It’s been years since all our kids could get together and spend quality time with us. We rented this for our 25-year anniversary. Its only 2 hours from the Chicago area so it was easy for our kids and grandchildren to get there. We stayed in the heated pool for hours and played the same games they played growing up. The screened-in porch and cozy family room all made for a memorable week. Each day was topped off with a beautiful sunset. New Buffalo is only 10 minutes away with good restaurants and grocery stores. We also rode the Sea Rocket 12-person boat which was a blast.

Great stay

Our family just recently stayed at this home. Everything was clean and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with anything you would need. We even used the grill and enjoyed all sitting at the table together (5 adults, 2kids). It ended up being a cooler week low 70's so the heated pool was a huge hit for the kids and even the adults. It did not matter what time of day you swam, it was warm. The location was also nice we stayed a week and found different things to do. Had the weather been a little warmer we would have swam in the lake some, but we did enjoying walking the private beach and enjoyed the sunsets. The owner was helpful and great to work with.

For six ladies who needed an escape for the weekend Cedar lodge was and ideal place .. it felt like a home away from home for many of us.. hard to leave already missing it ... wonderful place for bday celebration and reunion highly recommend ...

Really family friendly. Perfect vacation home.

Best rental we have ever been to. Beds were comfortable with incredible linens in every bedroom and bathroom. Dishes and cookware were 5 star! All appliances were first rate. Many rentals have second hand everything. This rental was fabulous and we didn't even use the pool!

The home was lovely and pool was an added bonus the weekend of 9/11.

This was our 7th annual girls weekend to Michigan. There were 6 of us and we all had a lovely time and the private pool was an added bonus. Loved the beautiful stone fireplace in the large living room, dining room kitchen space. The only down side was that it was very difficult to find the property at night and the wasn't as close to the lake as we thought.

We enjoyed our visit, house was cozy, clean. . The beach was heavenly.

The property was nice, but needed many sm repairs! No working smoke detectors, outlet taped to the wall. Lock on front door was fuctional , but questionable. Closets were cluttered, no where to hang clothes. Needs some nice pans to cook in. Needs an ice maker. When going to the beach, turn right, because my daughter and 2 grandkids were at the waters edge, some lady approached them , was very rude and made them move. Was ok, but last year had a much nicer place for less money.

Girls' Weekend

Rented for a 40th birthday/girls' weekend, Cedar Lodge turned out to be perfect. Easy to locate and a quick trip from Chicago. The rustic interior decoration, fireplace and outdoor fire pit made for a cozy fall weekend. The bedrooms, bathrooms and dining area were just right for six adults. We spent very little time away from the house and found the provided kitchen appliances and utensils met our needs for cooking lovely meals. A wonderful time was had by all!

Perfect place!

We just returned from the most perfect women's retreat ever at Cedar Lodge! Being a bunch of older women who like to chat, cook and eat, the layout was great: some could be making gourmet meals in the kitchen while chatting with others sitting at the table or living room. There was plenty of space around the large dining table for us all to eat together, and more than enough high-quality dishes and cutlery for everyone. The water pressure was great in both showers (always important) and all of the beds - even the bunk beds - had high quality comfortable mattresses and bedding (even more important!). The hot tub was large and easy to use (no climbing over high sides) and the pool area looked great. The back yard was lovely, with a well-appointed fire pit with plenty of comfortable seating. I highly recommend this place to anyone, and am hoping to rent it for a family vacation next summer.

Wonderful place,wonderful weekend!

My husband and I took our three adult sons and two of their significant others to Cedar Lodge for a 3-night weekend. We could not have been more delighted! The cabin is nestled in the woods and absolutely lovely, built and decorated in the Adirondack style promised in the description, but with modern appliances and bathrooms to make everything that much more comfortable. (Everything was also extremely clean and well maintained.) The hot tub was wonderful, and the large firepit in back made for a great place to sit in the evenings. And the small private beach was a short walk away, in the middle of the dunes, and offers great sunset views. So thank you to Pam, who was gracious, accommodating, and quick to reply to our texted questions. This place was definitely a winner!
