There were dark hairs on the sheets of both beds, a lot of the windows were dirty with smudges/smears and there were multiple areas that need dusting and vacuuming. There are some safety hazards as well like loose bricks on the bottom of the steps. With a really good deep clean and regular maintenance this could easily be a five star stay. « The house was clean, warm, and welcoming. It is in a very private setting in the woods, but a very easy walk to local stores, dollar tree, or a nice local brewery. We had a great time sitting by the fire and in the hot tub with the sound of the creek behind us, the kids even enjoyed a little swim. The creek is only about a foot at the deepest, so it was a short swim, but they enjoyed it! »

We made great use of the grill and outdoor heater, and the playroom had some fun family games that everyone enjoyed.
