The ultimate Lake Lure escape awaits! This exclusive lakehouse offers incredible outdoor space with gorgeous lake and mountain views. The popular Lake House Restaurant is just around the corner – head down to the boathouse and launch the provided kayaks and paddleboards from the private dock and paddle down the cove for lakefront dining.

There’s also a large raised lakefront deck, which offers alfresco dining and loungers. Steps lead down to a small beach area, and a gas grill and wood-burning firepit invite cookouts at home.

Inside, contemporary-chic decor creates a sophisticated style, while a stone fireplace provides added warmth. Unwind into vacation mode and watch a movie in the living area. Cable is provided using a streaming app, and additional streaming services are available using your own accounts.

Find everything you need to prepare delicious recipes in the fully equipped kitchen, where sleek stainless steel appliances contrast stylishly with royal blue cabinets. When you’re ready to eat, enjoy home-cooked meals in the sunny dining area, which features a natural wood picnic-style table and fantastic lake views.

THINGS TO KNOW
-This property has numerous stairs leading down to the house and down to the lake. Not all areas have hand rails.
-Lake Lure is a man made lake that is drawn down 12 feet each winter season for maintenance. This will impact shorelines. Water will be back up to normal levels in mid April.
-Please be sure to reach out directly to organizations/businesses for current hours of operation.
-This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC.

The property was nice. Wish I would have read that the lake was closed and drained. It is posted so it is my fault for not reading it more thoroughly. If the lake was open and usable paying 1k for a two night stay seemed reasonable. Charging this for a lake house where the lake is closed should be illegal. The accommodations were nice but hardly a fair price to be on a drained lake. I would feel ashamed charging someone this price knowingly that they could not enjoy the lake.

Beautiful area

This cottage was the perfect size for our family’s 3 day stay (me, my husband, our two boys 10 & 13). It was very clean and seemed to be very recently remodeled beautifully. However the mattresses and couch are not very comfortable. There is so much outdoor relaxing space and the top deck over the boathouse was the perfect mix of sun and shade with plenty of seating. As of April 2025, you should know that Lake Lure is still in recovery mode from the hurricane and the lake has been drained at least 20 feet because of that. We were still able to paddle board but fishing wasn’t good. During the week, there is a LOT of rebuilding going on in surrounding homes and that was loud and not very peaceful. We knew this coming in and others should too. Grocery store is 12 minutes away which was helpful. Please be advised those groceries (and all your luggage) need to be carried from the parking spot on the top of the road, down many steps to reach the house. This wasn’t an issue for us or our older boys, but might be for elderly or very young kids. All in all, this was definitely a peaceful place and a good fit for our family. We might try it again next summer.

Perfect lake home

Our family of 5 loved spending our Spring Break here. Even with the water down for the season, we could easily get the provided kayaks and paddle boards into the lake. The home is clean, nicely decorated, and well stocked. We also enjoyed soaking in the hot tub overlooking the water and soaking up the sun on the deck over the boathouse. We will be back, for sure!

The beds were clearly not cleaned. Images of sheets and blankets were sent to the property manager who responded immediately- unfortunately by the time we saw and contacted them this it was almost 9pm as we arrived Friday night. There were no extra linens so we washed them ourselves. For a stay of 2 nights that costs over 1000.00, I expect a clean bed. Other than the sheets and bed not being washed, having hair and stains, the home as well as the location is gorgeous-everything else was perfect. The rest of the home was cleaned. I would love someone to contact me as it’s a shame such a beautiful place can’t be used more often. I travel at least 5 times a year and was hoping to make this home one of our regular visits. Understandably not everything is under one’s control however, for the price, more than an “I’m sorry” is required. Though it was suggested that someone come the next day to see the bed we weren’t going to wait to take care of the issue until then. Having only one full day to enjoy, waiting around wasn’t an option nor was sleeping on a dirty bed. Since then I have reached out again and was told that someone would get in touch. Again, they responded within the hour but I have yet to speak with anyone on another solution.

Perfect Lake Getaway

The house is absolutely perfect for a lake stay. We enjoyed the sun deck for afternoon lounging and the hammock was a favorite. At night we used the fire pit and the hot tub. It is close to town and the grocery store. We will definitely return!

Great place to stay, very well equipped and comfortable

Had a nice trip with our family and dogs. The only real suggestion I would have is to build a block with lattice or something along the steps from the top of the boathouse down to the water, as our dogs tried walking onto the roof from the steps. They could fall off the other side easily and be injured. Otherwise perfect stay and very nice easy water access for dogs and kids.

Long weekend with friends

This was our third trip to the lake and we really loved this cottage. Beautiful, modern updates and plenty of room for 4 adults. Quiet cove, room for our boat to pull up alongside the dock. Would book again!
