Welcome to Elmwood Escape, a 2-bedroom, 1.5 bath home set in the gold star, amenity-filled private community of The Hideout in Lake Ariel.
Our chalet is tucked under snowy trees on a property with a fire pit and a grill on the back deck. Relax inside with the fireplace ablaze while playing pool, or head outdoors to soak up nature with our community ski slope - perfect for your winter getaway!
We are 2-2.5 hours from Philly + NYC. Stay with us for a snowy weekend of Skiing, tubing + more!
Elmwood Escape is full of charm and comes fully equipped for a group getaway in the Poconos. We are the perfect location for a ski weekend with family and friends.
No detail was forgotten - we designed the house hoping to amaze guests with unique, vintage, mountain decor, and fully-stocked kitchen and living areas. Guests will enter the home through the screened-in porch with plenty of seating, then into the kitchen and expansive living space with a smart TV, Alexa Echo Dot, and room for everyone to hang out. The kitchen has retro flair and modern equipment.
There is a dinette set to keep the chef company or enjoy a morning coffee. For even more space, the loft awaits for playing a board game or round of pool.
The beauty continues outside where a deck with a patio set for al fresco dining, and an electric grill are found. A few steps away is a wonderful fire pit area complete with lighting, allowing guests to relax under a starry sky and roast marshmallows.

Due to Covid protocol, the community may restrict the use of amenities at their discretion. Because of this, the use of all amenities is not guaranteed.

There are a few steps leading to our front door.
There is a large stairway that leads to the loft.
Loft features a plush futon for sleeping. Guests are responsible for making this bed if used during their stay.
Two "floor mattresses" are convertible bean bags, found in the loft and can be moved to the first floor. Guests are responsible for making these beds if used during their stay.
There is no dishwasher - all dishes must be done by hand before check-out.
All trash must be taken to the community trash compactor and recycling center during designated hours. NO TRASH can be left outside due to local wildlife.
Pets are welcome, subject to approval at $75 per pet, per stay. Pet rules: No pets on beds or furniture and must be crated when renters are not inside the house. All pets must be under 75 lbs.
Noise level: We use smart home technology to improve your experience. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property, and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. NoiseAware is privacy compliant and is required on this property.
If more than the number of booked occupants are detected by neighbors or outside cameras, the stay will be immediately terminated and no refund will be issued. No cameras inside.
