« Cottage was perfect when we approached and went through the door , we moved the wicker basket to use it as a coffee table as it had glass on top of it , underneath there was lots of dead beasties , dread to think what the bottom of the basket was like , I swept them up and carried on , to realise we could not lock the door from the inside so had to leave it unlocked , apart from that it’s a lovely little place for a night or 2 »

« L'hébergement est très propre et bien équipé pour se faire à manger. Le lieu est calme, les moutons, vaches, oiseaux sont les voisins. Prévoir entre 2 et 3 nuits pour en profiter au mieux. L'endoit est assez reculé de tout, donc pour profiter au mieux de la plage, ballades autour et de se couper du monde, il est préférable de prevoir son essence et nourriture a l'avance. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieux magique pour souffler au milieu d'un tour de l'Écosse. »

« I loved the remoteness of this wee cottage. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, with lots of lovely walks, then this is ideal. The cottage is powered by a generator, which you can hear but soon get used to. Make sure you bring everything you need, it’s a fair trek to the nearest shop! My dog ran around the forest all day long and slept all night and I chilled out with a glass or two of wine. I hope to visit again in the not too distant future. »

« Les trois jours passés à Bettyhill sont le meilleur moment de nos vacances en Ecosse. La maison, très agréable, est meublée avec goût et comporte tout l'équipement nécessaire. Plein d'animaux tout autour : moutons, chèvres, chevaux, sans oublier les chats qui venaient fréquemment nous rendre visite. A partir de la maison, on peut faire une randonnée qui amène jusqu'à une plage magnifique, presque secrète. Et plein de très beaux endroits à proximité. Impression d'être un peu au bout du monde......

« Love at first sight is an overused phrase. But for us seeing the cottage in the distance as we drove across the Mound on the A9, it really was. The cottage was perfect in every sense. Cozy, comfortable and set with stunning views all around. The owner has equipped with everything you need to make this a perfect holiday home and the bonus of very comfortable beds at the end of the day. There are so many great walks in the area that coming back to the fantastic hot tub makes it all worth while....

« On our arrival the farmhouse was clean spacious and the owners had been in and ensured that the house was also warm and cosy for our arrival. The house had everything that you could possibly need for your stay. We had an enjoyable time. If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is the place for you. If you are looking to visit other areas you will need a car. »
